  • Patent number: 11918993
Abstract: Zero emission nested-loop (ZEN) reforming provides a scalable, eco-friendly process to produce high quality hydrogen at a relatively low operating cost. In one embodiment, a ZEN system comprises a reactor, a regenerator, and a photocatalytic reformer. During operation, the reactor receives a gas mixture and outputs hydrogen and catalyst adsorbed with carbon dioxide. The gas mixture is methane, steam, or hydrogen. Next, the regenerator receives the catalyst adsorbed with carbon dioxide and outputs carbon dioxide and desorbed catalyst. Next, the photocatalytic reformer receives carbon dioxide output by the regenerator and outputs methane and oxygen. The reactor receives at least some of the methane output by the photocatalytic reformer. By recycling methane in this way, the need for additional methane to fuel the system is reduced. The ZEN reforming system provides a novel technique to convert greenhouse gas emissions and carbon dioxide into oxygen and reusable methane gas.

  • Patent number: 11915206
Abstract: A processor may determine that a particular computer-readable vehicle repair order (RO) (e.g., including first and second RO portions) corresponds to an existing cluster of ROs due to the particular RO including RO data that refers to a particular vehicle symptom. The processor may determine that the first RO portion includes first data representative of a non-specific vehicle component and may then responsively also determine that the second RO portion includes second data that the at least one processor can use to determine a specific vehicle component associated with the particular RO. Responsively, the processor may determine the specific vehicle component based on the first and second data and may then add the particular RO to a different cluster of ROs that is arranged to contain ROs that correspond to the particular vehicle symptom and to the specific vehicle component.

  • Patent number: 11907993
Abstract: Techniques are described for determining a value metric for each of a plurality of payment cards, and recommending payment card(s) based on their respective value metrics. Implementations provide a recommendation engine that analyzes user data and card data, and recommends payment card(s) that may be suitable for a user. The engine consumes usage data and credit score and uses that information, along with characteristics of various available cards, to develop a value metric for each payment card that indicates how valuable owning the card would be to the particular user, such as how much money the user can expect to make or lose every year if they use the card as indicated, given the card's interest rate, rewards, fees, and so forth. The engine can rank the cards according to their value metrics, and the top-ranked card(s) are presented to the user as recommendations in a user interface.

  • Patent number: 11812587
Abstract: The description relates to cooling electronic components, such as computing devices. One example includes a rack defining a volume and multiple sealed chassis modules removably fluidly coupled to a two-phase condenser tank via a vapor coupler and a liquid coupler. Individual sealed chassis modules can contain one or more electronic components immersed in two-phase coolant that when heated by operation of the electronic components experiences a phase change from a liquid phase to a gas phase and travels to the two-phase condenser tank via the vapor coupler and is cooled in the two-phase condenser tank until experiencing a phase change back into the liquid phase. Individual sealed chassis modules can be decoupled from the two-phase condenser tank without releasing two-phase coolant and an entirety of the multiple sealed chassis modules and the condenser tank are contained in the volume of the rack.

  • Publication number: 20230279659
Abstract: An engineered structural member for use as, for example a stud, and a method for producing an engineered structural member. The method includes placing two spaced-apart flange members, preferably from nominal dimension solid lumber, in a mold cavity, inserting a two-part mixture of polyurethane material between the flange members, closing the mold and applying pressure to density the two-part polyurethane material during curing, and removing the completed engineered structural member from the mold. Preferably, the multiple engineered structural members are produced in multiple mold cavities, either sequentially, for example, on a rotary molding machine, or simultaneously, for example, in a series of molds which are filled and closed together. The engineered structural member provides increased insulation capacity to a structure while reducing structure weight, improving strength and improving dimensional instability.

  • Publication number: 20230193628
Abstract: An engineered structural member for use as, for example a stud, and a method for producing an engineered structural member, includes producing two flange members, preferably from nominal dimension solid lumber, providing slots in the flange members to receive opposite edges of a thin web, and assembling the edges of the web into the flange member slots to form an assemble engineered structural member. Preferably, an adhesive is used to bond the flange members to the web. An insulating material such as a rigid foam also may be arranged in the open spaces between the flange members at the exposed sides of the web to increase insulating capacity. The engineered structural member provides increased insulation capacity to a structure while reducing structure weight, improving strength and improving dimensional instability.

  • Patent number: 11634855
Abstract: A magnetically positioned dryer vent coupling is adapted for use in combination with a clothes dryer. The dryer vent coupling includes a flexible exhaust duct, a first mounting substrate, and a second mounting substrate. The first mounting substrate is located at one end of the flexible exhaust duct and includes a first magnet. The second mounting substrate is adapted for residing proximate one of the dryer exhaust port and wall port, and includes a second magnet. When moved into close proximity, the first and second magnets magnetically attract to one another to self-align and self-assemble the first and second mounting substrates of the dryer vent coupling, such that the first and second mounting substrates create an audible snapping sound when engaged thereby indicating a close magnetic seal at the dryer vent coupling.
