  • Publication number: 20250243932
Abstract: A parking lock arrangement for a motor vehicle transmission includes a parking lock gear arranged on a transmission shaft by sliding onto a guide region (7) defined on the radially outward side of the component (2) via a guide region (6) formed on the radially inward side of the parking lock gear (4). In the final position, a recess (14) extending peripherally around the guide region (6) of the parking lock gear (4) has been axially brought into overlap with a recess (13) extending peripherally around the guide region (7) of the component. The parking lock gear (4) and the component are securable against each other via a securing ring. The securing ring engages partially radially into the recess (14) in the guide region (6) on the parking lock gear (4) and partially radially into the recess (13) in the guide region (7) on the component.

  • Publication number: 20070163247
Abstract: An apparatus, system, and method for cooling exhaust gases includes an inlet operatively connected to an exhaust port from a diesel engine or the like, and a housing defining a substantially enclosed volume. At least a portion of the volume is larger in cross-section than the inlet in cross-section, such that the exhaust gases expand upon entering the housing from the inlet. At least one outlet larger in collective cross-section than the inlet in cross-section is disposed on the housing and configured to expel the exhaust gases from the housing into the atmosphere.

  • Publication number: 20070163249
Abstract: A lobed exhaust diffuser apparatus, system, and method configured to cool exhaust gases from an internal combustion engine comprises a diffuser having a proximal end, configured to receive exhaust gases from the engine, and a distal end, configured to expel the exhaust gases into the atmosphere. A plurality of lobes are disposed on the distal end such that at least a portion of the exhaust gases pass through the lobes, increasing the interaction surface area between the exhaust gases and the atmosphere, allowing for more rapid diffusion and entrainment between exhaust gases and atmospheric gases, resulting in more rapid cooling of the exhaust gases.

  • Publication number: 20070039316
Abstract: An ultra-compact combination exhaust muffler and aftertreatment element and water trap assembly provides exhaust flow through an aftertreatment element surrounded by an annular water collection space receiving water diverted and shed from an upper dome cap above the aftertreatment element and below the upper outlet. In a further embodiment, the assembly includes housing sections separable from each other at a service joint axially between axial ends of the aftertreatment element for ease of servicing. In a further aspect, the aftertreatment element has an axial end within a housing section saving axial extension space.
