  • Publication number: 20200133631
Abstract: Systems and methods for a media content system. A media content provider includes storage for storing and serving video content to subscribers. The media content provider records and or otherwise stores video content from around the world. The system includes display devices configured to identify and tailor content to multiple individual users. Each user may have individual settings which provide for a customized viewing environment and experience. The system is configured to identify users of the system in order to tailor the content as appropriate. In addition, identification of users allows for the identification of the subscription content that corresponds to the user. Based upon identification of a user and corresponding subscription, the user's subscription content may be streamed to any location. In this manner, the users subscribed content may follow the user from home to a friend's house, or elsewhere.

  • Publication number: 20200084488
Abstract: Systems and methods for a media content delivery service. A media content provider includes a data store for storing and serving media content to subscribers. The media content provider continually records and or otherwise stores video and audio content from around the world. Stored content will generally correspond to a large number of other media content providers, such as cable television operators, Internet based media content providers, television networks, and so on. Subscribers to the media provider interact with the media content provider via hardware and/or software mechanisms either provided by the media content provider or conforming to specifications of the media content provider. Based on these subscriber's subscriptions to the other content providers, the subscribers will have viewing, listening, or application execution privileges for content maintained in the data store. Content of a subscriber corresponding to multiple video content providers is maintained and served by a single provider.

  • Patent number: 9908322
Abstract: A device one of adjusts and changes a dampening medium profile, which extends in the direction of a printing width, in a printing unit comprising at least one printing unit cylinder, at least one inking unit which inks the printing unit cylinder, and at least one dampening unit which interacts with one of the printing unit cylinder and the printing unit. A drying device, which extends over the printing width, is provided with a number I(I?, 0>1) of drying elements, the influence of which, on a printing unit surface to be treated, allows moisture to be removed from a number of n(n?, n>1) axial portions aj(j=1, . . . , n) that are offset relative to one another in the direction of the printing width. One of an extent of the influence of the drying device with respect to the axial direction (aj) and the operating state of the drying device can be varied independently of one another.

  • Patent number: 9604446
Abstract: Inking units of a printing unit having at least one first inking unit roll and having a second inking unit roll which can be pivoted between the first inking unit roll and a third inking unit roll, at a distance from the first inking unit roll. A pivot drive for pivoting the second inking unit roll is provided with a drive assembly which is mechanically independent from the rotation of cylinders of the printing unit and also from inking unit rolls provided in the inking unit. A screwing down force for at least one of the first and third inking unit rolls can be set by one of predefining and changing a set point value relating to the drive force of the drive assembly remotely by the actuation of an adjusting assembly.

  • Patent number: 9533486
Abstract: A printing press for security printing has an Orloff offset printing unit comprising a plurality of stencil cylinders which can be inked, in each case, by an associated inking unit, an ink-collecting cylinder which interacts with the plurality of stencil cylinders, an Orloff plate cylinder which interacts with the ink-collecting cylinder, a transfer cylinder which interacts with the Orloff plate cylinder, and an impression cylinder which forms a printing point with the transfer cylinder. At least the transfer cylinder which interacts with the Orloff plate cylinder in the thrown-on position is included by a first printing unit section and is mounted in or on a first part frame. The ink-collecting cylinder is included by a second printing unit section and is mounted in or on a second part frame which is different from the first part frame.

  • Patent number: 9486993
Abstract: Rotational bodies of a printing press with at least a first, a second and a third ink-conducting rotational body, which interact with each other in pairs, can be set in a thrown-on position. The second of the at least three rotational bodies can be set both against the first of the three rotational bodies and against the third of the three rotational bodies in order to form a two-sided thrown-on position. Tracking, coupled in a defined way, of the rotational axis of the second rotational body takes place at the same time as a radial positional change of the rotational axis of the first rotational body, by the superimposition of two movements along two non-congruent movement paths which run in a plane which is perpendicular with respect to the rotational axis. A device for setting rotational bodies of a printing press is also provided.

  • Publication number: 20150068421
Abstract: A printing plate is arranged on a plate cylinder having a channel, in which front and rear clamping devices are located. The rear clamping device forms part of a slide positioned inside the channel and which can move towards the front clamping device. The slide is first moved, together with a rear end of the printing form that is fixed into the rear clamping device, towards the front clamping device. At least one rear spacer is then adjusted to a position relative to the slide that defines a specific distance of the rear clamping device from a second channel wall. A tensioning drive is subsequently deactivated and the slide, together with the rear clamping device, are held in position along the tensioning path by the force exerted by the tensioned printing form, that force pressing the slide against the second channel wall by the rear spacer of the slide.

  • Patent number: 8943967
Abstract: A method of mounting and adjusting a printing plate on a plate cylinder of a multicolor offset printing press is described. The printing plate is clamped between front and rear clamping bars, the rear clamping bar being movable under the application of a tensioning force and occupying, upon clamping of the trailing end of the printing plate, a tension-release position. Tensioning of the printing plate is carried out by initially applying a nominal tensioning force to the rear clamping bar. A print register of the tensioned printing plate is then measured and compared to a target print register to determine a corrected tensioning position of the rear clamping bar corresponding to the target print register. The tension of the printing plate is thereafter released. The correct tensioning position is set as new reference position of the rear clamping bar before or after tensioning again the printing plate.

  • Patent number: 8869697
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for arranging a printing plate onto a plate cylinder that has a channel in which a front and a rear clamping device are arranged. The rear clamping device is part of a slide that is arranged to be movable towards the front clamping device along a clamping path. In a first phase of the clamping process, the slide, together with a rear printing plate end that is clamped into the rear clamping device, is moved towards a first channel wall, and the printing plate is thereby clamped. In a second phase of the clamping process, the printing plate is released again, and the at least one slide is moved away from the first channel wall and towards a second channel wall. In a third phase of the clamping process, the slide, together with the rear printing plate end that is clamped into the rear clamping device, is again moved towards the first channel wall, and the printing plate is thereby clamped.
