  • Patent number: 4937676
Abstract: A compact, handheld portable electronic imaging system including both an electronic imaging camera and hard copy printer are separately housed with respect to each other and readily interconnectable with respect to each other for use either in combination or apart. Means for storing electronic images may be connected to the camera and/or printer housings so that when used apart image defining electronic image information signals may be initially directed for storage by the electronic imaging camera and the storage device thereafter connected to the printer for the making of hard copies therefrom. Alternatively, the electronic imaging camera and printer may be used in combination to provide an immediate hard copy of the image sensed in a manner analogous to that of an instant photographic camera of the self-processing type.

  • Patent number: 4086606
Abstract: A photographic camera having an integral flash unit therein is further configured to accommodate the ready removal and insertion of a substantially flat, thin storage capacitor from a location immediately inside one planar wall section of the camera. Upon receipt of the storage capacitor, the camera is further arranged to provide structure which operates to restrain a widthwise expansion of the capacitor which might otherwise tend to occur with extended usage of the capacitor without initially imposing any compressive forces on the capacitor which might otherwise tend to alter the electrical characteristics thereof.

  • Patent number: 4032941
Abstract: An exposure control system for photographic apparatus utilizing electrically controlled shutter-diaphragm blades mechanically latched in a light-blocking condition in conjunction with a latch actuator which delays return of the released latch to the blade path prior to commencement of the exposure interval during which scene light is passed to the film. In the illustrated embodiment, the actuator enables a latch element for release and energizes the blades to draw them slightly further in a light-blocking direction from the latched position so as to release the latch just prior to initiation of the exposure interval, and the actuator includes an over center spring arrangement which provides a decrease in the required force of actuation as the system is electrically energized so that the operator inherently holds the actuator in an operating position with the latch element held out of blade engagement for a time sufficient to allow escape of the blades from the latch position.

  • Patent number: 4016580
Abstract: A folding Galilean viewfinder comprising a cap, an eye lens, an objective lens, a base member, a spring biased linkage connecting the parts together for movement between erected and folded positions, a flash receptacle in the cap, and flexible wiring connected to the receptacle for connecting the receptacle to camera circuits, there being a coupling clip in the linkage which can be installed as the last step in the assembly of the viewfinder. The objective lens may be attached through the use of the coupling clip.
