  • Patent number: 5870425
Abstract: A Differential receiver of direct sequence spread spectrum signals, wherein, the intermediate frequency stage comprises N filtering and amplifying channels in N separate bands. The amplification of a channel is adjusted so that the power levels delivered by the channels correspond to a predetermined power distribution law.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: November 12, 1996
Date of Patent: February 9, 1999
    Assignee: Commissariat A L'Energie Atomique
Inventors: Bernard Piaget, Charles Fort, Patrick Le Masson
  • Patent number: 5333107
Abstract: A process for reconstructing three-dimensional images of an object with the aid of measurements performed by bidimensional arrays of sensors on a succession of incidences around the object. There are at least two circular coaxial paths (2,2') on which the arrays (4,4') are displaced. Thus, it is possible either to accelerate the taking of images, or increase the volume of the measurements, or accelerate the calculation of the reconstructed image, through the use of a single reference frame in whose coordinates the sums of the measurements on each sensor are characterized. The process has particular application to medical imaging or to the non-destructive inspection of parts in emission or radiation attenuation tomography.

Inventors: Pierre Grangeat, Patrick Le Masson
  • Patent number: 4885536
Abstract: Magnetic process for determining the trajectory of a moving vehicle for finding a fixed or moving magnetic object and apparatus for performing the process. The apparatus comprises magnetometers for measuring at least p independent components of the gradient of the local magnetic field, in which p is an integer equal to the number of dimensions of the space in which the moving vehicle is displaced, a circuit for storing a scalar criterion which is a function of at least one of the components of the measured gradient, a circuit for calculating the direction (.theta., .psi.) maximizing the criterion as a function of the measured gradient and a display, for use in guiding the vehicle.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: January 22, 1988
Date of Patent: December 5, 1989
    Assignee: Commissariat a l'Energie Atomique
Inventors: Roland Blanpain, Patrick Le Masson, Jean-Charles Vidal
  • Patent number: 4788504
Abstract: Apparatus for measuring the residual magnetization vector in cylindrical coordinates of a geological core sample. It comprises a carriage carrying a solenoid made to longitudinally vibrate for determining the longitudinal component of the vector and ferromagnetic transducers which determine the radial component and the phase of the radial component of the vector by rotating the core sample. The measurements are automatically integrated.
