Abstract: Apparatus and methods to communicate audio data from either an active wireless device or a requesting wireless device to one or more audio reproduction devices that are simultaneously communicatively coupled to both the active wireless device and to the requesting wireless device are disclosed. Responsive to a request from the requesting wireless device to transmit audio data to the one or more audio reproduction devices, the active wireless device determines whether to transmit audio data from the requesting wireless device based at least in part on an audio status of the active wireless device and a set of predetermined arbitration criteria that prioritizes among applications and operating system processes that generate the audio data.

Abstract: Methods and systems for managing an electronic calendar are described. One exemplary method includes displaying a calendar on a display device, the calendar having at least one time range, and displaying an invitation, before it is accepted, on the calendar in the at least one time range with other events which are already accepted. Another exemplary method includes displaying a calendar on a display device and displaying a list of user-selectable calendars comprising an invitation calendar which presents invitations which have not yet been accepted or declined on the invitation calendar. Other methods are described, and machine readable media and systems are also described.

Abstract: Exemplary methods, apparatuses, and systems receive a reply or forward command for a selected email message in an email user interface, determine that the email user interface is in full screen mode and that the selected email message is at least partially outside of a visible area of the email user interface, and display a composition window in response to the command, wherein the displaying includes a sequence of images to create the illusion of the composition window sliding up from the bottom of the screen. In an example, a user interface includes a collapsible panel of mailboxes and folders, and a separate and independent favorites bar including a plurality of the mailboxes and folders. One of the mailboxes and folders in the favorites bar may be a hierarchical folder that includes a subfolder that is accessible via a drop down menu from the hierarchical folder in the favorites bar.

Abstract: An electronic device: displays a first window and a second window within a display area, the first window having a first edge parallel to a second edge of the second window; and detects an input moving the first edge toward the second edge. In response to detecting the input, the device: pairs the first edge to the second edge such that the first window stops moving before it overlaps the second window when the user input satisfies pairing criteria, the pairing criteria include a first pairing criterion that is met when the input corresponds to movement of the first edge toward the second edge that deviates from a predefined axis by less than an angular threshold value; and continues the movement of the first window based on the input so that the first window overlaps the second window when the user input does not satisfy the pairing criteria.

Abstract: An electronic device: displays a plurality of representations of electronic communications associated with a first grouping and a filter affordance that corresponds to a set of filter criteria; and detects a selection input selecting the filter affordance. In response to detecting the selection input, and in accordance with a determination that the selection input corresponds to a first input type, the electronic device: ceases to display a first set of representations of electronic communications from the first grouping that do not match the set of one or more filter criteria; displays a second set of representations of electronic communications from the first grouping that match the set of one or more filter criteria; and displays an indication of the set of filter criteria that have been applied to the electronic communications associated with the first grouping.

Abstract: An electronic device: displays an electronic form with a plurality of fields; detects an autofill input that corresponds to a field of the plurality of fields in the electronic form; and in response to detecting the autofill input, updates the electronic form to display fields that have been populated based on a user profile. If the autofill input is associated with a first category of information in the user profile, updating the electronic form includes populating at least two of the plurality of fields using information from the user profile that corresponds to the first category of information. If the autofill input is associated with a second category of information in the user profile, updating the electronic form includes populating at least two of the plurality of fields using information from the user profile that corresponds to the second category of information.

Abstract: An electronic device: displays a conversation view of a plurality of messages within a first pane of a messaging application, where the conversation view includes a first message region of a portion of a first message and a second message region of a portion of a second message; and detects a user input selecting the first message region within the conversation view. In response to detecting the user input selecting the first message region, and in accordance with a determination that the user input satisfies first input criteria, the device displays one or more affordances provided to perform corresponding actions on the first message. In response to detecting the user input selecting the first message region, and in accordance with a determination that the user input satisfies second input criteria, the device replaces display of the conversation view with a message view that corresponds to the first message.

Abstract: In some embodiments, a portable multifunction device with a touch screen display performs a method that includes: displaying a phone call user interface on the touch screen display, wherein the phone call user interface includes: a first informational item associated with an active phone call between a user of the device and a first party, a second informational item associated with a suspended phone call between the user and a second party, and a merge call icon; upon detecting a user selection of the merge call icon, merging the active phone call and the suspended phone call into a conference call between the user, the first party, and the second party, and replacing the phone call user interface with a conference call user interface.
