  • Patent number: 11187358
Abstract: A sealing system for establishing real time sealing between two flange members is provided. The sealing system includes a seal assembly disposed between the flange members. The seal assembly includes an o-ring seal component held between an outer seal component and an inner seal component. A clamp body including a first clamp arm and a second clamp arm receive the flange members and the seal assembly positioned between the flange members. A coupling device of the sealing system is used to apply torque to clamp arms to draw them each other resulting biasing the flange member toward each other to establish sealing. Each of the clamp arms includes at least one window opening to expose a portion of outer seal component that includes an indicator configured for displaying an identification feature of the o-ring seal component of the sealing assembly.

  • Patent number: 10496832
Abstract: Systems and methods for providing trust provisioning are disclosed. A utilization request requesting to utilize data stored by a secure element associated with the device may be processed by a software application. In response to processing the utilization request, a registration request message for registering the software application may be communicated to a management server. A validation code may be received from the management server in reply to the registration request message. The received validation code may be verified to match a second validation code. Subsequent to successful verification, a passcode and an identifier of the secure element may be communicated to the management server. In response to communicating the passcode and the secure element identifier, an acknowledgement may be received from the management server specifying whether registration of the software application was successful.

  • Publication number: 20160126992
Abstract: Various embodiments provide methods, devices, and non-transitory processor-readable storage media for mitigating local oscillator (LO) spur interference between radio access technologies (RATs) operating on a multi-active communication device. The various embodiments provide methods, devices, and non-transitory processor-readable storage media to determine residual frequency error for a multi-active communication device and generate LO spur handling tables that may enable the multi-active communication device to compensate for the residual frequency error. A multi-active communication device may mitigate LO spurs by applying mitigation techniques to one or more RATs according to the LO spur handling tables. A multi-active communication device may mitigate LO spurs by turning off a LOs for one or more RATs according to the LO spur handling tables.

  • Patent number: 8797928
Abstract: Techniques presented herein allow a wireless device, (e.g., a mobile station, MS) to automatically enter a low power state when detecting silence based on monitored VoIP transmissions. Automatically entering the low power state may help the wireless device conserve power. In addition, for certain types of scheduling services in which bandwidth is allocated to the wireless device from within a system (e.g., Unsolicited Grant Service or extended real time polling service), automatically entering the low power state when silence is detected may also free up bandwidth (i.e., that would have otherwise been allocated to the wireless device entering the low power state) for allocation to other wireless devices in the system.

  • Patent number: 8625484
Abstract: A base station (BS) may determine a fixed modulation scheme, a fixed PDU payload size, and a fixed number of PDUs per downlink burst for transmission of multicast data to subscriber stations. The BS may allocate downlink bursts to deliver the multicast data to the subscriber stations via PDUs using the fixed modulation scheme, the fixed PDU payload size, and the fixed number of PDUs per DL burst. A subscriber station (SS) may bypass the processing of multicast frames if the SS does not belong to any multicast groups. An SS may search for multicast connection identifiers (CIDs) in DL MAP IEs in multicast frames if the SS belongs to at least one multicast group. The SS may bypass the parsing of a PDU's MAC header within a corresponding downlink burst in the multicast frame in response to identifying a multicast CID in a DL-MAP IE in a multicast frame.

  • Publication number: 20130121172
Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure provide methods for power saving at a mobile station by a software module. A software module, residing between an application subsystem and a modem of a mobile station, may buffer uplink data to create power savings in an efficient and dynamic manner. During power saving, the software module may buffer data during modem unavailable intervals and may transmit the buffered data during the modem available intervals.

  • Patent number: 8385261
Abstract: Methods and apparatus for setting the connection identifier (CID) mask length of a Hybrid Automatic Repeat-Request (HARQ)-MAP or a SUB-MAP pointer information element (IE) in a compressed downlink map (DL-MAP) of an orthogonal frequency-division multiple access (OFDMA) frame are provided in an effort to reduce the number of false indications in the CID mask, while also striving, as a secondary concern, to reduce the CID mask length. In this manner, an individual mobile station (MS) may not waste processing, battery power, or time interpreting a HARQ-MAP message or a sub downlink/uplink map (SUB-DL-UL-MAP) message that was not intended for this particular MS. For some embodiments where the CID mask length is set to be small, the control overhead (i.e., the size of the HARQ-MAP or the SUB-MAP pointer IE) may be decreased, and more of the OFDMA frame may be available for data traffic.

  • Patent number: 8351362
Abstract: Methods and apparatus for waking a mobile station (MS) from a power saving mode to receive a media access control (MAC) management message (e.g., DCD/UCD, MOB_NBR-ADV, and SII-ADV) the MS has not yet received. The MS may wake from the power saving mode after detecting a mismatch between a set of media access control (MAC) management message parameters last received by the MS and the information found in an enhanced broadcast control pointer information element (BCP-IE) transmitted in a downlink map (DL-MAP). In this manner, the MS may be prevented from waking up unnecessarily, thereby providing high power efficiency.

  • Patent number: 8270327
Abstract: Certain embodiments of the present disclosure propose a technique that may be utilized to accelerate the processing of MAC management messages by an MS, allowing the MS to return to a lower power state sooner, thereby conserving power. An indication of whether or not data bursts in a downlink (DL) sub-frame contain MAC management messages may allow the MS to avoid needlessly processing of data bursts and return to a low power state sooner.

  • Patent number: 8238280

  • Patent number: 8179813
Abstract: Methods and apparatus for indicating a base station's amount of ranging traffic to a mobile station (MS) and for selecting a base station (BS) for performing ranging based on the ranging traffic indication are provided. This notification may occur via a ranging loading parameter, such as a ranging loading factor (RLF) indicating the ratio of used ranging slots to available ranging slots, transmitted as a new TLV (Type-Length-Value) within the Uplink Channel Descriptor (UCD) of a (potential) serving BS or in the UCD of a Neighbor Advertisement (MOB_NBR-ADV) message for a neighbor BS. By selecting a BS with a certain level of unused ranging slots, the MS may exponentially decrease the ranging overhead (i.e., the average waiting time for the ranging procedures) when compared to a conventional MS that does not consider a BS's ranging overload when trying to perform ranging with the BS.
