  • Publication number: 20170372932
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to an integrated chip (IC) processing tool having a die exchanger configured to automatically transfer a plurality of IC die between a die tray and a die boat, and an associated method. The integrated chip processing tool has a die exchanger configured to receive a die tray comprising a plurality of IC die. The die exchanger is configured to automatically transfer the plurality of IC die between the die tray and a die boat. An IC die processing tool is configured to receive the die boat from the die exchanger and to perform a processing step on the plurality of IC die within the die boat. By operating the die exchanger to automatically transfer IC die between the die tray and the die boat, the transfer time can be reduced and contamination and/or damage risks related to a manual transfer of IC die can be mitigated.

  • Patent number: 9770185
Abstract: Wearable devices are described herein including a housing and a mount configured to mount the housing to an external surface of a wearer. The wearable devices further include first and second electrical contacts protruding from the housing and configured such that the electrical contacts can be used to measure a Galvanic skin resistance of skin proximate to the electrical contacts when the wearable device is mounted to the external surface of the wearer. The electrical contacts are additionally configured to measure a capacitance between electrical contacts. The measured capacitance between the electrical contacts could be related to a capacitance of skin proximate to the electrical contacts when the wearable device is mounted to the external surface of the wearer. The wearable devices further include an electronically switched capacitor connected between the electrical contacts that can be operated to enable the Galvanic skin resistance and capacitance measurements described above.

  • Patent number: 9552947
Abstract: A three-phase vacuum interrupter switch assembly for power distribution systems comprises an outer case having at least one window, a plurality of internal disconnect switch assemblies, and a plurality of vacuum interrupter bottle switch assemblies within the case. Each vacuum interrupter bottle switch is coupled in electrical series with a corresponding internal disconnect switch assembly. Because the open/closed state of a bottle switch is not directly observable owing to its sealed interior, a direct visible indication of the state of the three-phase vacuum interrupter switch assembly is provided by a visually detectable contact rod for each internal disconnect switch that is visible through the case window. To prevent potentially serious damage caused by arcing between the contacts of the internal disconnect switch, the internal disconnect switch is prevented from opening or closing when the bottle switches are closed. The case interior is preferably free of oil and/or SF6 gas.

  • Patent number: 8555274
Abstract: A plurality of virtual machines (VMs) is established and maintained by virtualization software on one or more physical servers. Desktop management software operates to provide the VMs to remote users as virtualized desktops. The desktop management software includes a connection broker, that allows a remote user to select a type of virtualized desktop and initiate a desktop session. The desktop management software further includes lease management functionality, that ensures users are provided access to a particular virtualized desktop for only a fixed period of time. In addition, the desktop management software provides an administrative console, which allows an administrator to set various parameters, including QoS parameters, and parameters specifying the resources allocated to each user. The desktop management software interacts with lower level software to provide load-balancing functionality, that adjusts the resources provided to each VM based on the needs of the VM.

  • Publication number: 20130234534
Abstract: This instant disclosure provides a power socket with wireless communication capability including a case, a power input unit, a power output unit, a switch, and a wireless communication module. The power input unit is used for electrically coupling to a power source. The power output unit is used to output an electrical power of the power source. The switch is electrically coupled between the power input unit and the power output unit for controlling whether the power output unit outputs the electrical power of the power source. The wireless communication module is electrically coupled to the power input unit and the switch for wireless receiving a control signal. The wireless communication module controls the switch according to the control signal. Therefore, the power socket outputs or not outputs the electrical power of the power source to an electrical device according to the control signal.

  • Patent number: 8141075
Abstract: A plurality of virtual machines (VMs) is established and maintained by virtualization software on one or more physical servers. Desktop management software operates to provide the VMs to remote users as virtualized desktops. The desktop management software includes a rule engine that can be used to automate the policies of the organization. The rule engine manages the data center by controlling virtual infrastructure operations, such as power-on, power-off, suspension, and migration operations. The rule engine uses an event-condition-action paradigm, wherein an event causes a virtual infrastructure operation, possibly contingent on a condition. The rule engine provides for time-based scheduling of events in addition to system-based operations, which are triggered by events such as user logon and user logoff. The rule engine may also include the ability to automate the process of changing the properties of the virtual machines in a timely fashion.

  • Patent number: 7114031
Abstract: The present invention relates to a structure and a method of data update in a cache memory inside a local processor, which uses the feature of cache control. A buffer block of a header buffer is mapped to a memory space at several different address sectors addressed by the local processor. Whenever the local processor attempts to access the internal cache memory, cache missing will occur so that a local processor will be forced to alternatively request new data from buffer blocks of a header buffer in a HCA. Consequently, the whole block is loaded into cache memory. This does not only boost cache update performance but also accelerates packet access.

  • Publication number: 20040098521
Abstract: A peripheral management system includes a system chip, a peripheral I/O control device and a control management device. The control management device is electrically connected between the system chip and the peripheral I/O device in series. In a downstream transmission mode, the control management device asserts a first processing signal to the peripheral I/O control device in response to a control signal from the system chip in a first state, and asserts a second processing signal to the peripheral I/O control device in response to an external control signal in a second state. In an upstream transmission mode, the control management device asserts a third processing signal to the system chip in response to another external control signal. Each of the external control signals are asserted by a remote terminal.

  • Patent number: 6669401
Abstract: A connecting device for a bench or a chair having multiple hollow slats includes an inner piece slidably received in a corresponding one of the slats and having a first compartment, a second compartment and a third compartment respectively defined in the inner piece and separated by baffles in the inner piece. A plug is detachably connected to the inner piece and has a seat integrally formed with the plug and having a through hole with a first step and a second step formed on an inner surface defining the through hole. A bolt-nut combination has a bolt to extend through a bottom face of a corresponding one of the slats, the inner piece and into the through hole in the seat and a nut received in the second step to be threadingly connected to the bolt.

  • Publication number: 20030210684
Abstract: This invention is an implementation of a host channel adapter and method for transferring packet data over a network. When packets are distributed by a packet-switching system, a control unit and a plurality of header buffers allow the packet transmission to be carried out efficiently in executing the actions of reading and moving the packets. This reduces repetitions in reading and moving the packets, which enables the host channel adapter to use the bandwidth of the memory efficiently through the help of the control unit.
