    Abstract: A plurality of telecommunications terminals is connected to a network termination of a subscriber. Each of the telecommunications terminals has an interface to the subscriber's in-house power line and is addressable via an individual identification signal. The telecommunications terminals both generate and detect control signals that are transferred over the power line. Such a telecommunications terminal can establish through the power line an alternative call to another telecommunications terminal connected to the subscriber's network termination.
