  • Patent number: 7342074
Abstract: Polyhydroxy curable fluoroelastomers that are substantially free of nucleophilic endgroups are grafted with a monophenol having at least one pendant group. The resulting grafted fluoroelastomers retain most of the properties of the original elastomers including excellent pre-vulcanization characteristics, while incorporating pendant groups which may be used for further modification, crosslinking or for changing the physical properties (e.g. Tg) of the fluoroelastomer.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: June 12, 2007
Date of Patent: March 11, 2008
    Assignee: DuPont Performance Elastomers L.L.C.
Inventors: Patrick Luigi Paglia, Walter Werner Schmiegel

  • Patent number: 6803391
Abstract: Ethylene copolymer elastomer compositions, acrylate rubber compositions, nitrile rubber compositions, fluoroelastomer compositions, and chlorinated olefin elastomer compositions are provided which are curable by exposure to UV radiation. The compositions are particularly suited for production of elastomeric seals using hot melt equipment and a gasketing in place technique.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: September 20, 2002
Date of Patent: October 12, 2004
    Assignee: DuPont Dow Elastomers, LLC
Inventors: Patrick Luigi Paglia, Christian Ruepping
