  • Publication number: 20220079450
Abstract: A system and method for determining the presence of cancerous tissue within a tissue cavity is provided. The system includes one or more excitation light sources, a photodetector, a probe, and a system controller. The probe includes an optically transparent probe body configured to fit within the tissue cavity. The system controller is in communication with the excitation light sources, the photodetector, and a memory storing instructions. The instructions when executed cause the system controller to a) control the excitation light sources to produce excitation light beams within the probe body, the excitation light beams operable to produce a response of the tissue to the interrogation and control the photodetector to detect the response and produce signals representative thereof; and b) produce information indicative of a presence of the cancerous tissue using the signals representative of the response.

  • Publication number: 20210325302
Abstract: A tumor responsive tissue marking dye is provided that includes a tissue marking dye and at least one cancer activated agent. The at least one cancer activated agent is configured to assume a first state in the absence of cancerous tissue or a microenvironment associated with said cancerous tissue, and a second state in the presence of said cancerous tissue or said microenvironment associated with said cancerous tissue, wherein the first state is photometrically distinguishable from the second state.

  • Patent number: 8473445
Abstract: Systems, methods and computer-readable media are disclosed for providing a framework for generating problem situations in a computer game. In one embodiment, the framework includes a data structure representing solution candidates, fact patterns, and a solution designator. The data structure also includes a chain of inference between the solution designator and each candidate. The computer game may generate a problem situation from the data structure and present the problem situation to a user playing the computer game.
