Abstract: A method and system for interfacing a digital device with an interactive display surface (IDS) is presented. The IDS detects the digital device when it is brought into proximity, and attempts to identify the device. The IDS communicates with the device, and displays interactive representations of information stored on the device.

Abstract: Using a web presence manager infrastructure (see Appendix), actions, appliance events, and presences are continuously and automatically captured and stored as historical metadata for each physical context managed. The metadata is mapped interactively for all users. Personal content for each user, such as digital file usage, is indexed in association with each physical context. Users personal content from autobiographical web presence manager past events is displayed upon each registration of the user's presence in a current physical context with content recall directly related to the current physical context. Personal content mapping to available services is also provided.

Abstract: A system that provides an Internet-based representation of a physical environment which reflects physical/environmental relationships among the physical entities in the physical environment. A system according to the present teaching enables the formation of relationships involving the physical entities and the performance of behaviors associated with the relationships. A system according to the present teaching also provides an interface between physical entities and a vast assortment of Internet services in a manner that takes into account the physical environment of the physical entities.
