    Abstract: Techniques are disclosed for measuring an analyte in a biological system. A system may include a medical device with an electrochemical sensor configured to sense the concentration of a plurality of analytes present in a biological system. Processing circuitry of the system may retrieve, identify, and process a respective signal from a respective work electrode to determine the concentration of a respective analyte. The system may further include an implantable medical device configured to sense a cardiac electrogram (EGM). In some examples, the system may be configured to determine one or more patient-specific relationships between the respective signals of the electrochemical sensor and the cardiac EGM during a first period of time. Based on the patient-specific relationships, the system may estimate concentrations of the one or more analytes corresponding to the respective signals based on the cardiac EGM of the patient collected over a second period of time.

    Abstract: The present invention permits reliable lifting and inverting of one or more casting core elements and positioning the one or more casting core elements in a mold flask. The invention generally includes an outer frame and an inner frame assembly, which are coupled such that they may move vertically relative to each other. The invention further includes apparatus which engage the casting core and invert the casting core, and further align the casting core to a mold to which the core is transferred. The present invention also allows for simultaneous engaging, inverting and aligning of a plurality of core elements. The present invention allows cores to be inventoried and located for automatic handling in a position that permits visual inspection and reliable handling and placement at high production rates therefor.

    Abstract: A one-piece water jacket core for an internal combustion engine is formed by providing a first core box portion and a second core box portion adapted for assembly and formation of the one-piece water jacket core. The first core box portion includes a first cavity adapted to form a lower portion of the one-piece water jacket core and the second core box portion includes a second cavity adapted to form an upper portion of the one-piece water jacket core. A plurality of movable members are pivotally carried adjacent to, and preferably by, one of the core box portions. Each of the pivotal movable members includes a portion adapted to form a water jacket port and to be pivoted, after assembly of the first and second core box portions, to a position forming one of the water jacket ports in the one-piece water jacket core. The invention is particularly adapted for the formation of one-piece water jacket cores with a cold-cure process.
