    Abstract: An antenna with polarization switching comprises a support comprising at least two faces each supporting a plurality of waveguides fed with radiofrequency signals and pierced with apertures disposed so as to illuminate radiating elements placed some distance from the said apertures. For at least one given antenna pointing, the said support is able to toggle between at least two different configurations, the said support being configured so as to place, in the second configuration, the second face in a position identical to that taken by the first face in the first configuration, several radiating elements of the first face being, in the said position, oriented differently from radiating elements of the second face. It applies notably to the switching of antennas embedded onboard moving objects on the ground having to operate high-speed communications with a satellite, in particular a geostationary satellite.

    Abstract: Systems and methods are described for performing film insert molding (FIM) on a 3D shape, such as a traffic light shell or cover. A film is pre-generated for a surface to be covered by the film, and is inserted into a mold. A viscous material is then injected into the mold and the film bonds to the shell as the viscous material cools and hardens. The film includes a material selected to provide one or more of scratch resistance, improved shell hardness, UV protection, corrosion protection etc., and/or may be selected to alter optical characteristics of the shell.

    Abstract: An assembly and a method for attaching a sign-type lighting fixture to an electrical box. The assembly includes a lighting fixture having a mounting plate affixed to the electrical box, an illuminating sign, and a canopy affixed to the lighting fixture, allowing the canopy and the mounting plate to attach quickly. The method first includes affixing a mounting plate to an electrical box and affixing a canopy to a sign-type lighting fixture. Next, the canopy is secured to the mounting plate by inserting at least one wing tab from the canopy through at least one holding tab on the mounting plate. Then, the electrical wiring is connected. After that the wing tab and holding tab are separated. Finally, the wing tab is inserted into at least one offset on the mounting plate, and the canopy is secured to the mounting plate.

The sign may be single- or double-sided with two panels separated by reflective material. The sign may include a positionable joint coupled to the sign panel, which selectively orients the sign panel with respect to a mounting surface, and a high-intensity light emitting diode adapted to provide floodlighting. A method of illuminating a sign includes providing a light source including a light emitting diode, and embedding the light source at least partially in a sign panel. The sign panel is at least partially transparent, thereby illuminating the sign panel.

The third concave surface intersects the first concave surface and the second concave surface. The light sources may be disposed at the foci of the first and second parabolas or offset from the foci. The first and second central axes may be oriented at symmetrical angles with respect to a plane bisecting the third parabola. The reflector preferably has no convex joints. The first, second, and third parabolas may be degenerated. A third light source may be disposed within the third concave surface.
