Abstract: A method for providing a user with secure access to an online account, the method comprising: receiving, from an institution hosting the user account, a message containing data to be used in obtaining access to the user account, issuing a request to a communication device of the user to provide a voice sample to be used in authenticating the user, receiving a voice sample from the user, performing voice authentication based on the voice sample, and in the event the voice authentication is successful, providing the user with the data to be used in obtaining access to the user account.

Abstract: An authentication method, comprising: obtaining a first string; receiving an audio signal; performing speech recognition on the audio signal to extract text; and performing authentication of a user, the authentication comprising: comparing the extracted text and the first string; and performing voice authentication of the user based on the audio signal; generating a second string based on the first string and the extracted text; generating a data record using the second string; and storing the data record in a data repository.
