Abstract: Provided are dental alloys comprising platinum, cobalt, and gold and optionally further comprising one or more of ruthenium, gallium, manganese, chromium and silicon, wherein the gold makes up from 0.5 to 5.0 wt % of the total alloy. The alloys have desirable castability and ease of manufacture. The alloys can be used in manufacture of dental articles comprising the alloy and porcelain materials, and used for various dental restorations.

Abstract: An isolated cold plate refrigeration system provides a cargo compartment isolated from a cold plate compartment. A user defines the target temperature of the cargo compartment. When the temperature of the cargo compartment rises above the target temperature and cool air is required to reduce the temperature of the cargo compartment, a cold plate fan is activated to move air from the cold plate compartment to the cargo compartment and from the cargo compartment to the cold plate compartment.

Abstract: Processes and apparatus are disclosed for producing clear reverse osmosis retentates having silica concentrations which are substantially supersaturated in silica from feedwaters having silica concentrations, without substantial formation of alkali-soluble scale having substantial silica content in the associated reverse osmosis apparatus, by adjusting the pH of such feedwaters to an acidic pH range prior to reverse osmosis in accordance with this invention. Also disclosed are related processes and apparatus for periodically removing minor amounts of alkali-soluble scale having substantial silica content from the apparatus.

The electrical element includes a female receptacle capable of delivering low voltage DC current to a corresponding male insert, a step-down transformer and an AC/DC converter. The outlet receptacle is adapted to convert AC house current to low voltage DC current. The outlet receptacle is useful in recharging batteries used in portable electronic devices.
