    Abstract: A method for focal adjustment of an automotive camera is disclosed. The method includes providing a target focal setting for the camera for predefined regions of interest, determining a first and second focal setting for each subset of regions of interest depending on the respective target focal settings of the regions, capturing a first and second image during the first frame period respectively. The first and second focal settings are used during at least part of the first and second frame periods respectively. Between the capturing of the first and second images, the first focal setting is changed to the second focal setting.

    Abstract: A method for focal adjustment of an automotive camera is disclosed. The method includes capturing a first image with an imager of the camera during a first frame period, exposing a plurality of rows of a sensor array of the imager according to a rolling shutter mode, and capturing a second image with the imager during a second frame period after the first frame period. The method further includes determining a first area on the sensor array, which corresponds to a predefined region of interest for the first frame period, determining a first subset of the plurality of rows, determining a focal adjustment period which starts after all rows of the first subset of rows have been exposed during the first frame period, and adjusting at least one focal parameter of the camera during the focal adjustment period according to a predefined focal setting.

    Abstract: A method and system for forecasting product order quantities required to meet future product demands for a retail distribution center or warehouse. The method includes the steps of determining for each one of a plurality of retail stores, a long range order forecast for a product sold by said retail store; accumulating said long range order forecasts for said plurality of retail stores to generate a distribution center demand forecast for said retail distribution center; comparing said distribution center demand forecast with current and projected future inventory levels at said distribution center of said product; and determining from distribution center demand forecast and said current and projected future inventory levels suggested order quantities necessary for maintaining a minimum inventory level sufficient to meet said distribution center demand forecast for said product.
