  • Patent number: 7236603
Abstract: In the adaptation of hearing devices to specific auditory situations, mistakes can be reduced between detected auditory situations, and individual classifications should be enabled. For this, evaluation data are provided for various predetermined auditory situations, and the hearing device adapted to a hearing device user using individual weighting. The individual weighting thereby ensues via a continuous weighting function that runs via supporting points which respectively represent an individual weighting of the evaluation data of one of the predetermined auditory situations. With this, a continuous and individual adaptation of the hearing device to various auditory situations is possible.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: September 30, 2003
Date of Patent: June 26, 2007
    Assignee: Siemens Audiologische Technik GmbH
    Inventor: Patrick Mergell
  • Patent number: 7010133
Abstract: To improve the speech comprehensibility given treatment with a hearing aid device, during the operation of the hearing aid device speech signal levels and noise signal levels are determined in a plurality of frequency bands of an input signal. An automatic adjustment of the amplification follows, dependent on the determined signal level and the signal frequency. The determination of amplification parameters thereby ensues under inclusion of a loudness model and a speech comprehensibility model.
    Type: Grant

Date of Patent: March 7, 2006
    Assignee: Siemens Audiologische Technik GmbH

  • Publication number: 20030139964
Abstract: A method and appertaining apparatus are provided for optimizing the design of product properties by surveying customers via the Internet and that their reply be automatically evaluated and incorporated into the product design. The potential customers can be divided intocategories according to their interests profiles, so that specific categories of customers can be surveyed in targeted fashion via the Internet.
