Abstract: The present disclosure describes a hydro energy-offset turbine insert generator to generate energy within a piping system. The system can include a fluid conduit that includes an inner wall structure and a pipe sleeve disposed along the inner wall structure to reduce the cross-sectional area of the interior of the conduit. The system can also include a turbine positioned within the fluid conduit adjacent the pipe sleeve and a flow diverter upstream of the turbine. A drive shaft is coupled to the turbine and extends to an area outside of the fluid conduit. The drive shaft can be directly or indirectly coupled to a generator or multiple generators positioned in the area outside of the fluid conduit. Fluid passing through the conduct can cause a rotational action in the turbine that causes a corresponding rotation in the drive shaft and generator to generate electricity.
