  • Patent number: 9731852
Abstract: A solid dosage preparation is provided with a bottle of water. The solid dosage preparation is contained in a safe and sanitary blister package and attached by means of a shrink band to the closure of the bottle. The shrink band provides a tamper-indicating seal for the both the bottle and blister contents. An advantage of the design is that it does not require customization of bottle and closure tooling, and thereby provides a simple and cost-effective means for combining solid and liquid materials in a unitary package. An additional advantage is the robustness of the tamper-indicating system and methodology.

  • Patent number: 8640721
Abstract: A portable hunting blind employs a hand-operated, spring biased clamp with a pair of compressible handles that open spring-biased clamping jaws. The clamping jaws include internal grooves for sure gripping. An elongated, bendable arm extends from one of the clamp handles. An attachment juncture formed in one of the handle ends secures the arm to the clamp. The flexible metal arm can be configured by bending as desired by a hunter to assume a desired shape. A camouflage curtain is secured to the arm, which supports it like a flag pole. When an area for deployment is reached, the clamp is affixed to an available object, such as a tree limb, support the curtain and camouflage a limited selected area. The shape of the concealed arm can be varied by bending the arm. The curtain bottom may be secured to a convenient object to prevent movement.

  • Patent number: 5882483
Abstract: An extended nip press apparatus is disclosed for pressing a web. The apparatus includes an elongate press shoe which defines a concave surface. A backing roll cooperates with the concave surface for defining therebetween an extended nip pressing section for pressing the web. A looped bearing blanket slidably cooperates with the concave surface. The blanket is disposed between the shoe and the backing roll for supporting and guiding the web through the pressing section. A piston is pivotally connected to the press shoe, the piston being selectively urged towards the backing roll. The arrangement is such that when the piston is urged towards the backing roll, the piston urges the shoe and the blanket towards the backing roll so that the web disposed between the blanket and the backing roll is pressed. The piston has a first and a second portion, the first portion being disposed between the second portion and the shoe.

  • Patent number: 4822626
Abstract: A process of producing a biscuit with a baked-on proteinaceous coating, comprising steps of:(a) preparing a dough piece from a dough comprising flour, meal, fat and water;(b) enrobing the dough piece with a viscous coating formulation comprising 10 to 30 weight percent of a dextrin carrier, 10 to 50 weight percent of meat, 10 to 30 weight percent of a glazing agent, 1 to 5 weight percent of polysaccharide gum, 5 to 15 weight percent of a monosaccharide sugar, 5 to 15 weight percent of a disaccharide sugar, and water, all based upon total dry solids; and(c) baking the dough piece to form a dry biscuit with a baked-on coating. The glazing agent can comprise a gelatin or a modified food starch, and the polysaccharide gum can be a xanthan gum. Biscuits produced by the process and a bakable proteinaceous coating formulation as employed in step (b) are disclosed and claimed.
