The method includes determining a value of a sustainability metric associated with a design of an object; determining a target value for the sustainability metric; determining an amount of progress made towards achieving the target value for the sustainability metric based on the value of the sustainability metric and the target value for the sustainability metric; and displaying, via a graphical user interface (GUI), a visual indication of the amount of progress made towards achieving the target value for the sustainability metric.
