Abstract: According to one embodiment, a shareable information system includes a number of organizations having a database communicating with one another through a network. Each database stores data objects with a structured metatag. Each structured metatag uniquely identifies its respective data object and has fields structured according to a common architecture. A request broker of one particular organization may resolve a desired data object from among the plurality of data objects according to the specified structure and retrieve the desired data object from the database of another organization.
