Abstract: A method for processing an input applied by an input object is provided. The method comprises the steps of receiving, from a motion unit, motion data comprising information indicating motion of the motion unit, wherein the motion unit is arranged to co-move with the input object; receiving, from the motion unit, identification information for identifying the motion unit; receiving input data, wherein the input data comprises information indicating characteristics of one or more inputs applied to an input unit; comparing the motion data with the input data; and outputting a signal for controlling processing of the inputs depending on a result of the comparison, and according to the identification information.

Abstract: A low-profile, compact fan coil ceiling unit with closely coupled silencers includes a heating and cooling section, a closely coupled inlet silencer, and a closely coupled outlet silencer. The inlet silencer has a rectangular housing with a downwardly facing entry opening and a side facing exit opening attached to the inlet end opening of the heating and cooling section. The outlet silencer has a rectangular housing with a downwardly facing exit opening and a side facing entry opening attached to the outlet end opening of the heating and cooling section. Baffles to control the flow of air and reduce noise in the inlet silencer and the outlet silencer are provided.

Abstract: In accordance with one aspect of the invention a method and apparatus for utilizing time of flight information to detect motion during a medical imaging acquisition, such as a PET imaging acquisition, is provided. In accordance with another aspect of the invention, a method and apparatus for detecting and correcting for respiratory motion and cardiac motion in medical images, such as PET images, is provided.

Abstract: A packless silencer for a Venturi control valve being a generally rectangular enclosed housing formed by four side walls and having an intake opening and a discharge opening. Four perforated baffles for each of the side walls are positioned inside of the housing, extend the length of the housing and are offset from the side walls to create an empty baffle space between the perforated baffles and the side walls the ends of the baffle space are covered by end caps.
