  • Patent number: 8049786
Abstract: The invention provides a method for improving image stitching accuracy and a device for implementing the same, which apply to the multi-camera system for wide-angle image generation. Lens distortion causes mismatches of the features in the overlapping region of the images captured by the multi-camera system. As a result, the mismatches on the stitched wide-angle image are visible. The method and device for improving image stitching accuracy correct the lens distortion before stitching the images captured by the multi-camera system, so that the features in the overlapping region are matched and a seamless wide-angle image is generated by the stitching engine.

  • Patent number: 8004557
Abstract: An advanced dynamic stitching method for multi-lens camera system is disclosed. This invention aims to address the parallax phenomenon which exists in a multi-lens camera system. Stitching points vary with the object distance. In a video stitching system, a fast search engine to update the stitching points dynamically is needed. This invention provides an advanced method to reduce the high computation power required for the traditional block matching method of finding stitching points. As a result, the stitching points can be adjusted dynamically with the method of this invention.

  • Patent number: 7978931
Abstract: The invention discloses an optimized video stitching method, comprising: inputting predefined pattern images; proceeding with a transformation which combines planar and cylindrical transformation; proceeding with a merging calculation which combines linear difference merging and alpha blending calculation; and proceeding with a horizontal stitching processing by putting the processed images horizontally together into one seamless wide-angle image. The optimized video stitching method according to the invention further comprises a camera position calibration flow comprising: finding a planar matrix by using predefined pattern images; proceeding with a planar transformation of image; proceeding with an image registration by using a block matching method to find out the stitching points on the planar surface; and proceeding with a cylindrical transformation by transforming the stitching points from the planar surface to cylindrical surface.

  • Publication number: 20090272764
Abstract: A container having wall portions with different pressure resistance includes a chamber with having a predetermined volume for containing an amount of fluid therein, and a mouth located at a top of the chamber and sealed by a fluid dispenser head assembled thereto. The chamber has a super-thin compressible wall of a predetermined thickness that forms a main body of the container, and two or more pressure-resistible non-deformable stiff supporting ribs located on the compressible wall at predetermined positions and having a thickness larger than that of the compressible wall. Each time the fluid dispenser head is depressed, a pressure difference is generated in the container to result a contraction of the compressible wall and dispensing of the contained fluid via the fluid dispenser head. When the contracted compressible wall finally becomes completely flattened, any remained fluid in the container can be pushed out to avoid unnecessary waste of the fluid.

  • Publication number: 20090261127
Abstract: A free-form container with follow-up piston includes a double-wall body defining an internal volume for containing a fluid, a top cover connected to an open upper end of the double-wall body, a fluid dispenser head mounted to and projected from the top cover, and a bottom cover seal an open lower end of the double-wall body. The double-wall body includes a cylindrical inner wall defining a fully round inner wall surface and a free-form outer wall integrally formed at an outer side of the inner wall. A follow-up piston is mounted in the cylindrical inner wall to face toward the fluid dispenser head. A vent hole is formed on the bottom cover to communicate an inner space of the inner wall with external air. The outer wall may have differently designed appearances to attract more consumers without affecting the operation of the follow-up piston in the cylindrical inner wall.

  • Patent number: 7508345
Abstract: A small sized structure for a plurality of resonance frequency bands in a PIFA antenna system for at least two mobile frequency bands distant from each other including a ground connection and a HF power supply connection. The PIFA antenna system includes at least two antenna branches which are disposed essentially side-by-side and in parallel to each other in the form of a strip and are connected to each other at a base thereof in order to serially connect the antenna branches which extend at a predetermined distance from each other, thereby forming a slit and are provide with straight segments for producing a capacitance coupling between the branches. The ground connection is preferably arranged at the free end of one of the antenna branches, the HF power supply connection is mounted on the external edge of the branch of the PIFA antenna structure provided with the ground connection.

  • Publication number: 20070211955
Abstract: The present invention provides a extracting and correcting method for a wide-angle image which can be a still image or a video stream. The method is able to display the extracted image without distortion. The correction method of the present invention is performed to map sections of the image to a plane with respect to their respective viewing angles. The present invention is adapted to progressively move the view angle and repeat the steps of extracting and correcting, thereby producing the panning effect without distortion.

  • Publication number: 20070081091
Abstract: The present invention aims to simplify stitching algorithm which generates horizontal panoramic image. The image pickup device of the present invention comprises a plurality of lenses and positioning means. Said positioning means positions each lens so that the FOV (Field Of View) intersection points of all lenses are aligned in vertical direction. Accordingly, the horizontal parallax does not exist in the image picked up by the camera system and the stitching point remains the same for the objects at different distances.
