  • Patent number: 12177737
Abstract: Techniques for determining levels of interactions amongst entities in a group are provided. A plurality of mobile electronic devices detect signal data indicating when pairs of devices are proximate to one another. A receiver receives the detected signal data, and a data structure representing a contact network is generated based on the received detected signal data. Based on the contact network, a first metric is generated comprising a quantification of an average number of other entities in the contact network with which an entity in the contact network will have interactions in a predetermined amount of time. Based on the contact network, a second metric is generated comprising a quotient comprising of a size of a component of the contact network divided by an overall network size of the contact network. Based on the first and second metric, a level of interaction amongst entities in the group is determined.

  • Publication number: 20210398684
Abstract: A system and method for generating a risk score for an observer device based on the wireless signals that are emitted from one or more wireless devices is provided. The system and method includes receiving, by an analytic server, a request for tracing data associated with a first device identifier of a first observer device; generating, by the analytic server responsive to receiving the request, tracing data including a second identifier of a second observer device and a risk score indicative of a degree of association between the first observer device and the second observer device; and transmitting, by the analytic server, the tracing data to a human resource (HR) server associated with an organization, wherein the tracing data causes the HR server to notify the second observer device.

  • Publication number: 20210313074
Abstract: Techniques for performing automatic contact tracing using a fleet of mobile electronic devices are provided. By collecting and storing signal data detected by the fleet of devices, the system generates a historical record of timestamped signal data from which interpersonal interactions may be inferred. The system may retrieve information from the stored historical record to determine what users were in contact with a target user during a target time period. The determination may be based on which other devices were proximate to the target device, at what time those other devices were proximate, how close those other devices were, and/or the amount of time for which those devices were proximate. The system may applying one or more algorithms (e.g., a “proximity score” calculation) to the stored record in order quantify and/or characterize a risk for users of devices that were proximate to the target device.

  • Publication number: 20160162602
Abstract: In one embodiment, a device-initiated search where a search device may initiate a proximity-informed search of one or more datastores based on processed proximity information strings, and then updates another datastore with the results learned from the first datastore and/or generates a second search query that may be forwarded to a second datastore. In another embodiment, a proximally-based database search may be initiated by a database when a search device sends proximity information (information strings geolocation information) to a first datastore, which may derive search information from the proximity information received from the search device, and then initiates a query of a second datastore with the derived information. The second datastore returns search results to the search device. In some embodiments, the second datastore may return results to the first datastore, which may then processes the results and then returns the processed results to the search device.
