  • Publication number: 20240110901
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to devices, circuits, and methods of determining power consumption in an electronic device (e.g., HDD) so that the determined power consumption can be used to determine a concentration of the gaseous oxidizing agent component in an interior gas space of the sealed enclosure and/or actively supply gaseous oxidizing agent component to the interior gas space of the electronic device if the determined power consumption is below a threshold value.

  • Patent number: 8871424
Abstract: The presently disclosed subject matter is directed generally to a polymeric film that comprises at least one laser imageable marking layer. The marking layer comprises a polyolefin, a photochromatic pigment, and an additive. It has been surprisingly discovered that a polyolefin film comprising a marking layer formulated with a photochromatic pigment and an additive offers a substantial advantage over prior art methods of laser imaging polyolefin films.

Date of Patent: October 28, 2014
    Assignee: Cryovac, Inc.
Inventors: Rick Merical, Russell Darley, Patrick R. Thomas
  • Publication number: 20140037973
Abstract: The presently disclosed subject matter is directed generally to a polymeric film that comprises at least one laser imageable marking layer. The marking layer comprises a non-polyolefin component (such as polyamide, polyester, and/or polystyrene) and a photochromatic pigment. It has been discovered that a non-polyolefin film comprising a marking layer formulated with a photochromatic pigment offers a substantial advantage over prior art methods of laser imaging non-polyolefin films.

  • Patent number: 6340532
Abstract: Shrink films having an outstanding balance of physical properties and shrink properties are manufactured from “pseudohomogeneous” linear low density polyethylene resin. The preferred pseudohomogeneous resins used in the present invention are prepared with an advanced Ziegler Natta catalyst (having a magnesium component and a titanium component), preferably in medium pressure solution polymerization process. The films of this invention may be employed in a variety of uses, including, 1) “overwrap” packaging to protect goods during transportation, distribution, handling and display; and 2) food packaging, such as shrink wrap for frozen poultry, primal meat cuts and processed meat and cheese products.
