Abstract: Medical systems and methods for making and using medical systems are disclosed. Example medical systems may include devices capable of capturing and facilitating removal of an obstruction in a vessel or cavity. The medical devices may include a shaft having a plurality of eyelets spaced along the shaft. A pull wire may be connected to the shaft and extend through one or more of the plurality of eyelets. Retraction of the pull wire may result in forming one or more loops in the shaft. A core wire may extend along the shaft to provide a desired stiffness at one or more locations along the shaft and/or along a loop formed with the shaft. The shaft may be formed of a coiled wire.
