Abstract: A seat has: a moveable upper part (14) for receiving at least one occupant, the moveable upper part being carried by a fixed lower part forming a substructure (16), and a turning mechanism (28) for turning the upper part (14) backwards and forwards. The turning mechanism (28) contains a pivot (30) connecting the upper part (14) and the substructure (16). The axis (Z) of this pivot is substantially vertical. The turning mechanism (28) also contains a slide (36) mounted on the upper part (14) so as to be displaceable in rotation about the pivot (30) and in translational motion substantially perpendicular to the axis (Z), and two complementary cams (46, 48) carried respectively by the substructure (16) and the upper part (14). One of the cams has a developing profile imparting a predetermined turning travel to the upper part (14).

Abstract: An integrated device for securing a wheelchair in a position on a floor is formed of a frame-like box for mounting beneath the floor and within an opening therein. The box mounts for rotation about parallel horizontal axes, a pair of laterally spaced, horizontally extending parallel flaps which are rotatable from a position flush with a pair of openings within a horizontal floor plate receiving the flaps to raised, oppositely oblique positions forming a V. A vertically upright cover extends from one end of the floor plate and mounts a pair of push button controls on an upper surface. A vertically upright actuator is fixedly mounted to a face of the upright cover and has a projectable and re tractable plunger coupled to a flap locking member which carries an axial projection projectable into an axial bore of a retaining cylinder fixedly mounted to the box.

Abstract: A baggage rack under flap for the passenger space of a rail vehicle including a plurality of flaps placed end to end, the baggage rack being supported by brackets, the flap being longitudinally hinged to be capable of tilting and to give access to the portion situated beneath the baggage rack, the flap being held in a closed position by locking, the flap being made up of at least two longitudinal elements, each element being hinged along one of its longitudinal edges by a hinge, the other longitudinal edge of said element being fitted with locking means, the hinge being adjustable in position relative to the brackets to enable the flaps to be aligned.
