Publication number: 20240108761Abstract: It is disclosed herein that ssAAV and scAAV vectors of the same serotype administered by injection into the cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) via the intracerebroventricular (ICV) or intrathecal (cisternal or lumbar) route exhibit different cellular tropisms in the central nervous system. Thus, a subject can be treated by injection into the CSF of ssAAV or scAAV vector encoding a therapeutic protein, such as an ssAAV9 or scAAV9 vector. The therapeutic protein can be targeted to specific cells using these vectors. In some embodiments, scAAV9 is utilized to achieve superior transduction in the hippocampus, cerebellum and cerebral cortex where both neurons, particularly Purkinje neurons, and glial cells (such as astrocytes) are transduced. In other embodiments, ssAAV9 is utilized to minimize transduction of astrocytes. In further embodiments, an immunosuppressive agent is also administered to the subject.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 7, 2023Publication date: April 4, 2024Applicants: Emory University, REGENXBIO Inc.Inventors: Anthony Donsante, Karen Kozarsky, Nicholas Matthew Boulis, Jonathan Patrick Riley

Patent number: 11361542Abstract: An augmented reality experience is provided to a user of a hand held device, such as a mobile phone, which incorporates an electronic processor, a camera and a display. Images taken from video footage are displayed in a display of a hand held device together with a live camera view, to create the illusion that the subject of the video—i.e., the virtual moving image—is present in the field of view of the camera in real time. In this context the term “real world” image means an image taken from reality, such as a physical, real-world scenario using an electronic photo-capture technique, e.g. video recording. A camera of a hand held device is aimed at a well-known object, which is recognisable to the device. A moving virtual image of an actor playing the part of an historical figure, chosen because of its relevance to the object, is displayed.Type: GrantFiled: December 10, 2020Date of Patent: June 14, 2022Assignee: 2MEE LTDInventors: Christopher George Knight, James Patrick Riley

Patent number: 11363325Abstract: A live broadcast is depicted, in this case a golf tournament. The broadcast is depicted on a television screen of a user, substantially in real time. In a television studio, which may be close to the site of the live broadcast, or may be remote therefrom, a commentator or pundit records segments of video analysis. The video image is sent to a server. The video clip of the commentator is then downloadable by the user using a device such as a mobile phone or tablet. The user can then view the additional content—the video segment of the commentator—on his device. Using the techniques of positioning and anchoring as described herein, the user can enjoy the video segment as though the commentator were present in the room, by viewing the room through a camera of the device.Type: GrantFiled: May 1, 2020Date of Patent: June 14, 2022Assignee: 2MEE LTDInventors: Christopher George Knight, James Patrick Riley, David Soppelsa

Patent number: 11354208Abstract: A first non-volatile dual in-line memory module (NVDIMM) of a first server and a second NVDIMM of a second server are armed during initial program load in a dual-server based storage system to configure the first NVDIMM and the second NVDIMM to retain data on power loss. Prior to initiating a safe data commit scan to destage modified data from the first server to a secondary storage, a determination is made as to whether the first NVDIMM is armed. In response to determining that the first NVDIMM is not armed, a failover is initiated to the second server.Type: GrantFiled: September 11, 2019Date of Patent: June 7, 2022Assignee: INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS MACHINES CORPORATIONInventors: Matthew G.
