  • Publication number: 20230158442
Abstract: A process is proposed for separating carbon dioxide from a feed stream containing carbon dioxide, in which at least part of the feed stream is subjected to temperature swing adsorption to obtain a first and a second successive stream, wherein, in each case relative to the feed stream, the first subsequent stream is depleted in carbon dioxide and the second subsequent stream is enriched in carbon dioxide, and at least part of the second subsequent stream is subjected to membrane separation to obtain a third and a fourth subsequent stream, the third subsequent stream being depleted in carbon dioxide and the fourth subsequent stream being enriched in carbon dioxide, in each case relative to the second subsequent stream. A corresponding arrangement is also an object of the invention.

  • Publication number: 20220259512
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for obtaining natural gas components, wherein, using natural gas, a feed mixture containing methane and helium is provided and subjected to a separating sequence so as to obtain a natural gas product which is enriched with methane and depleted of helium in comparison to the feed mixture and a helium product which is depleted of methane and enriched with helium in comparison to the feed mixture, which method comprises one or more membrane separating steps and one or more pressure change adsorption steps. According to the invention, the feed mixture is provided using natural gas containing methane, higher hydrocarbons, helium and carbon dioxide, and the providing of the feed mixture comprises depleting the natural gas used for provision of the feed mixture of carbon dioxide and of the higher hydrocarbons. The present invention also relates to a corresponding system.

  • Publication number: 20220176319
Abstract: A membrane separation unit wherein the membrane separation unit has a pressure vessel and a membrane provided inside the pressure vessel in a membrane arrangement, and wherein the pressure vessel has an inlet nozzle for a feed gas mixture, an outlet nozzle for a permeate and an outlet nozzle for a retentate. The membrane separation unit has in this case measurement means that are arranged at least partially inside the pressure vessel and/or inside the inlet nozzle for the feed gas mixture and/or inside the outlet nozzle for the permeate and/or inside the outlet nozzle for the retentate and are set up to record one or more parameters relevant to operation.

  • Publication number: 20140291242
Abstract: The invention relates to a membrane module for pervaporation, in particular organophilic pervaporation, having a liquid-tight housing with at least one feed inlet, at least one retentate outlet and at least one permeate outlet that is or can be subjected to a negative pressure or vacuum, wherein a membrane pocket stack is arranged in a housing interior and has a plurality of membrane pockets and seals laid on one another, wherein mechanical pressure is or can be applied to the membrane pockets in the stacking direction by means of a pressure application device for the mutual sealing of the membrane pockets, so that the housing interior is divided up by the membrane pockets into a feed chamber on the outside of the membrane pockets and a permeate chamber in the interior of the membrane pockets. The invention further relates to a use of a membrane module according to the invention.
