  • Patent number: 11954722
Abstract: In some embodiments, a web-based postage transaction may be facilitated. In some embodiments, an applet embedded on a web page may be provided to a client computer in response to the client computer accessing the web page. A request related to a postage transaction may be received from the client computer. In response to the request, a validation check may be performed by providing a validation token to the embedded applet at the client computer to be validated by the embedded applet. Based on a determination by the embedded applet at the client computer that the validation token is valid, the embedded applet at the client computer is configured to execute at least a part of the request.

  • Patent number: 10255604
Abstract: An approach for facilitating access of postal services of an account by another account is disclosed. In some implementations, a request to authorize access for a first account to one or more postal services of a second account may be received. Responsive to authorization from the second account, the access to the one or more postal services of the second account may be enabled for the first account. A request initiated via the first account to execute a postal transaction associated with the one or more postal services of the second account may be received. Execution of the postal transaction may be initiated. Storage of a record related to the postal transaction in association with the second account may be initiated.

  • Patent number: 10223736
Abstract: A system and method for conducting a web-based postage transaction, includes receiving user credentials at a web server, validating the user credentials, and in response to valid credentials, providing access to a remote client to at least one module of a postage software application. The module is configured to execute requests to perform the web-based postage transaction and to, for each revenue generating request, perform a validation check. The validation check includes a requirement that the module have access to the web server for the request to be fulfilled. In an embodiment, the postage software application includes a module configured and arranged to determine the availability of a client-side device configured to execute the request to perform the web-based postage transaction and, when the client-side device is unavailable, to prevent execution of the request, and when the client-side device is available, to allow execution of the request.

  • Patent number: 9818122
Abstract: An approach for facilitating sharing of postal services is disclosed. In some implementations, a request to authorize access for a first account to one or more postal services of a second account may be received. The authorization request may include a first identifier associated with the first account and a second identifier associated with the second account. A message may be generated based on the first identifier, the second identifier, and/or other information. The generated message may be provided to a cryptographic platform. An integrity code associated with the first account and the second account may be received from the cryptographic platform in response to providing the generated message. The integrity code may be configured to enable the first account to access the one or more postal services of the second account.
