  • Patent number: 11287953
Abstract: Provided is a system and method for an interactive one-click smart identifier that can be used to replace a traditional drop-down menu, combo box, or the like. Each click can change the identifier without a need to interact with a menu. In one example, the method may include storing a sequential order for a plurality of identifiers, displaying a currently selected identifier from among the plurality of identifiers at a predetermined position on a user interface and hiding remaining identifiers from among the plurality of identifiers from being displayed on the user interface, detecting a click on a predefined graphical element of the user interface, and in response to detection of the click, deleting the currently selected identifier from the user interface and replacing it with a hidden identifier from among the remaining identifiers not displayed on the user interface based on the sequential order.

  • Patent number: 11249618
Abstract: Provided is a system and method for popping out a menu that is embedded within a user interface. The popped-out menu can be moved independently of a window in the user interface from which the menu is dislodged from and can have it size adjusted. In one example, the method may include displaying a menu with a plurality of selectable actions which are embedded within a user interface window, receiving a predetermined command with respect to the user interface, and in response to receipt of the predetermined command, outputting a pop-out menu that corresponds to the menu embedded within the user interface window, where the pop-out window includes the plurality of selectable actions and is configured to move independently of the user interface window.

  • Publication number: 20210374943
Abstract: A method for determining part wear, such as using a wear metric, includes receiving, from a sensor, sensor data representing a surface of a wear part. The method further includes determining distances between measured points in the sensor data and points on one or more part models, which part models may include new part models and/or worn or wear limit part models. The method further includes using a bounding model that at least partially envelopes the part model(s) and the measured points to determine a direction along which the distances are measured. The method may also include quantifying wear using the measured distances.

  • Publication number: 20210373719
Abstract: Provided is a keyboard navigation menu which provides navigation within a software application using keyboard commands instead of mouse/cursor based inputs. The keyboard activation menu can improve upon traditional mouse-based menus which often include hidden tabs or require multiple mouse inputs. In one example, the method may include displaying, via a user interface, a keyboard navigation menu comprising a plurality of different keyboard inputs that when pressed navigate a view of the user interface to a plurality of pages of a software application, respectively, detecting a keyboard input from among the plurality of different keyboard inputs which corresponds to a second page from among the plurality of pages of the software application, and changing a view of the user interface from the first page to the second page of the software application that corresponds to the detected keyboard input.

  • Publication number: 20200407135
Abstract: Described is a multi-part device for keeping consumables such as dietary supplements in separate, non-contaminatable, individually accessible container compartments. The device of the invention can also be used for storage of other items, as well. The top of the device is removable, has several interconnected lids that are attached and retained to the container portion of the device by a rotable cap, the position of which selects which lid, if any, can be opened by a user. The compartment lids separate the contents stored in the various compartments so as to keep the contents of each compartment from being contaminated by items or materials placed in other compartments or from the environment. The safe can be locked shut by rotating the cap to predetermined positions.

  • Patent number: 10773228
Abstract: A self-sealing container, used for transferring one or more air sensitive samples between vacuum systems, includes a housing with a cavity that holds the sample(s), and a lid disposed on top of the housing. The lid is configured to interface with the housing to form a seal over the cavity when the lid is closed. At least two flexure systems, each coupled to the housing and the lid, are disposed on opposing sides of the housing. The flexure systems apply forces to the lid that move the lid horizontally and vertically above the housing, into an open position. A pneumatic actuator, movably coupled to the housing and the lid, that is actuated by a change in ambient pressure. When actuated, it applies forces that move the lid horizontally and vertically to the closed position, in opposition to and in excess of the forces applied by the flexure systems.

  • Patent number: 10665109
Abstract: An example method and apparatus are disclosed. An infrastructure device is mounted to construction equipment located at a road construction zone with an input view of a predefined area of a road. The device may receive sensor data of road users and the road construction zone. Responsive to the sensor data, the device classifies objects as construction lane markers and determines coordinates of the construction lane markers. Using map data indicative of drivable lane boundaries of the road construction zone, the device determines whether the construction lane markers are within the drivable lane boundaries. Responsive to the determination, temporary lane boundaries for the construction zone are computed and transmitted in a data set to at least one autonomous vehicle.
