  • Publication number: 20120212363
Abstract: A method for remotely neutralizing a target. The method includes transmission by a probe antenna toward the target of a test signal having a frequency spectrum having at least two distinct test frequencies; reception by an array of at least two antennas of a plurality of waves scattered by the target in response to the test signal. For each antenna of the array the method includes measuring a representative value of the amplitude of the waves scattered by the target as a function of the test frequencies; choosing at least one favored transmission frequency as a function of the representative value of the amplitude of the scattered waves; and transmitting at least one radiofrequency wave toward the target at a minimum of one favored frequency chosen for that antenna with a phase ensuring the coherent addition on the target of the radiofrequency waves transmitted by the antennas of the array.

  • Publication number: 20120200223
Abstract: The hyperfrequency wave generator device according to the invention comprises a plurality of magnetrons, each magnetron comprising: a cathode, and an anode, surrounding the cathode and comprising an inner surface defining a plurality of resonant cavities distributed along its periphery. The generator device also comprises at least one waveguide, each waveguide extending from the anode of a magnetron toward the outside of the magnetron. The plurality of resonant cavities of each magnetron comprises a plurality of resonant connecting cavities, or at least one resonant connecting cavity and at least one resonant output cavity. Each resonant connecting cavity of each magnetron is identical each resonant connecting cavity and, if the magnetron comprises at least one output cavity, to each resonant output cavity of the magnetron.

  • Publication number: 20120194398
Abstract: The present invention relates to a transmitting device, comprising an electromagnetic radiation source, an array-type antenna having an axis of transmission (T-T) and a guiding conduit for guiding the electromagnetic radiation from the source to the antenna. The antenna is able to rotate relative to the radiation source around an axis (X-X), the axis (X-X) being angularly offset from the axis of transmission (T-T) and the guiding conduit comprises a first waveguide extending along the axis of rotation (X-X) of the antenna and rigidly connected to the antenna.

  • Publication number: 20120194400
Abstract: The invention relates to an antenna comprising a transmission surface, an array of elementary antennas each extending from the transmission surface, first and second superimposed electromagnetic waveguides. The first waveguide is adapted to power the second waveguide from a collection inlet, and the second waveguide is adapted to power the elementary antennas. The antenna comprises means for coupling the electromagnetic energy associated with the electromagnetic wave between the first and second waveguides. The coupling means separate the transmission surface into two concentric regions made up of a peripheral region and an internal region situated at the collection inlet, each comprising at least one elementary antenna.

  • Publication number: 20120188136
Abstract: The invention relates to a radiofrequency antenna comprising a chassis (26) and an emission surface supporting a set of radiating antenna elements, each radiating in a unique emission direction, characterized in that each antenna element is at least partially movable relative to the emission surface to modify its specific emission direction and in that it comprises means for moving the antenna elements in a coordinated manner along said surface to form, from the elementary waves produced by the antenna elements, a coherent wave propagating in a direction that is angularly offset relative to the normal to the emission surface.

  • Publication number: 20120187833
Abstract: The device according to the invention for generating hyperfrequency waves, of the magnetron type, comprises: a cathode, elongated between first and second longitudinal ends; an anode, surrounding the cathode and comprising an inner surface oriented toward the cathode and delimiting a plurality of resonant cavities distributed along the periphery thereof; and a voltage source, to establish a potential difference between the cathode and the anode. The cathode is electrically connected to the voltage source by each of its longitudinal ends, to bring those two ends to substantially equal electric potentials. The generating device also comprises a device for adjusting the longitudinal length of each resonant cavity, the adjusting device comprising at least one mobile element defining a longitudinal end of at least one resonant cavity.
