  • Publication number: 20260100415
Abstract: Ionic cyclic nitroxyl radical oligomers, methods of making the ionic cyclic nitroxyl radical oligomers, and electrochemical cells, such as aqueous organic redox flow batteries (AORFBs) that use the ionic nitroxyl radical oligomers as catholytes are provided. The oligomers are larger than individual cyclic nitroxyl radical molecules, but maintain a high density nitroxyl radical groups within the molecule. As a result, when the oligomers are used as catholytes in an AORFB, they are able to reduce catholyte permeation through the ion-conducting membrane, while providing a high volumetric capacity and cycling stability.

  • Publication number: 20250306107
Abstract: A test circuit of the presently disclosed technology may include a “stacked precision parametric measurement unit (PMU)” having a precision PMU connected in series with a common-mode (CM) power supply (e.g., higher voltage supply). The common-mode voltage source may include a voltage source configured to supply a relatively large range of voltages (e.g., ?100 V to 100 V), such as might be suitable for testing battery management system integrated circuits (BMS ICs). By contrast, the precision PMU may include a voltage source that supplies/measures voltages over a relatively smaller range (e.g., ?2 V to 6 V relative to the common-mode voltage source) at higher precision (e.g., 30 to 300 uV voltage steps).

  • Patent number: 12346833
Abstract: The present invention is generally directed to artificial intelligence (AI) systems and materials. In particular, the invention relates to human-like AI that utilizes a symbolic thinking engine to create explanatory theories. Such theories are based on an iterative process that adjusts for available information, context, and/or perspective, and can be created based on sparse information. The invention then iterates to return a useful result that can also be predictive. In one or more embodiments, the present invention is modular and scalable, enabling the addition of multiple domains that collaborate in parallel, similar to how the human mind/brain is believed to work.

  • Publication number: 20240055657
Abstract: Amphiphilic complexing agents for use in electrolyte solutions are provided. The complexing agents include at least one soft ionic group covalently bonded to at least one hard ionic group or polyether chain. The soft ionic group couples with soft, oppositely charged ionic redox species in an electrolyte solution, and the hard ionic groups or polyethylene chains render the complexes formed by the complexing agents and ionic redox species soluble in the electrolyte solution. The size of the complex formed by the coupling of the amphiphilic complexing agent to the soft ionic redox species is substantially larger than the size of the soft ionic redox species alone and, as a result, electrochemical cells that include the amphiphilic complexing agents in an electrolyte solution have less membrane crossover than analogous electrochemical cells that do not include the amphiphilic complexing agents.
