  • Patent number: 9877345
Abstract: A method of creating a projection of a situational network includes creating, by an event node server, an event node in a multi-dimensional personal information network, where the event node corresponds to a situation. A projection of nodes of the situational network is formed using geographic locations of a plurality of devices corresponding to nodes in the multi-dimensional personal information network. An invitation is transmitted to establish a link with the event node server to the devices corresponding to each node in the projection. A response is received from at least one of the devices accepting the invitation to establish a link with the event node server. A link with each device accepting the invitation is established.

  • Patent number: 9233301
Abstract: A method for controlling presentation of data through a wireless home entertainment hub in a home entertainment system includes obtaining a registration for a plurality of source devices and for one or more sink devices. A first indication that a first source device from the plurality of source devices has become active is received at the wireless home entertainment hub. A second indication that a second source device from the plurality of source devices has become active is received. A first instruction is transmitted to at least one of the sink devices to receive data from the first active source device. A second instruction is transmitted to at least one of the sink devices to receive data from the second active source device. A first indication is transmitted to the first active source that at least one sink device is ready to receive data, and a second indication is transmitted to the second active source that at least one sink device is ready to receive data.

  • Patent number: 9094651
Abstract: A system and method are described for using the video switching capabilities of a first video switching device to select one of a plurality of distinguishable probe signals. The selected probe signal is detected and a corresponding control signal for a second video switching device is generated. In one embodiment of the present invention, the analog video switching capabilities of an audio-video receiver are used to select one of the probe signals. Said embodiment then detects which probe signal was passed, generates an appropriate control signal, and transmits it to a device capable of switching both analog and digital video, like a digital television or a DVI-or HDMI-capable switcher.
