  • Patent number: 10732214
Abstract: Disclosed herein are methods, systems, and devices for identifying a location of a fault in a hybrid high voltage direct current (HVDC) transmission system having a ground or underground cable section and an overhead line section. Some methods comprise determining whether a characteristic voltage oscillation is present at a cable side terminal of the HVDC transmission system, and in response, determining that the fault is located in the overhead line section. Some methods comprise determining whether a characteristic current oscillation or a terminal current exceeding a peak current threshold is present at an overhead line side terminal, and in response, determining that the fault is located in the overhead line section. The methods can be communication-less, wherein the actions are based on local measurements and/or are performed locally to where the fault is located or detected.

  • Publication number: 20200218705
Abstract: Embodiments as disclosed herein provide for a system and method that can manage indexing for search index partitions in a computerized search system in an automated, efficient, and intelligent manner. In particular, a search index may be partitioned. One or more index partitions may be specifically indicated as one or more reserved partitions configured to handle indexing requests associated with processing a very large amount of information. When an indexing request is received that requests indexing of a very large amount of information, the indexing request may be processed for a reserved index partition that is reserved for indexing objects associated with a very large amount of information; otherwise, the request may be processed for another index partition.

  • Publication number: 20200183959
Abstract: Systems, methods and computer program products for using searchable aggregate indices associated with non-aggregated value storage. In one method, a search system stores metadata values for each of a plurality of objects in a storage unit. The metadata values are stored in corresponding value storage locations that are associated with an identifiable metadata fields. An aggregate index is provided which includes a dictionary of terms that are contained in metadata values associated with a designated set of the metadata fields. The aggregate index is searched for one or more specific search terms, and one or more of the metadata values are retrieved from the value storage locations in response to the search, where the individual metadata fields associated with the retrieved metadata values are identified.

  • Publication number: 20200131165
Abstract: The present invention pertains generally to the field of therapeutic compounds, and more specifically to certain bicycloheteroaryl-heteroaryl-benzoic acid compounds of the following formula (for convenience, collectively referred to herein as “BHBA compounds”), which, inter alia, are (selective) retinoic acid receptor beta (RAR?) (e.g., RAR?2) agonists. The present invention also pertains to pharmaceutical compositions comprising such compounds, and the use of such compounds and compositions, both in vitro and in vivo, to (selectively) activate RAR? (e.g., RAR?2), to cause or promote neurite development, neurite outgrowth, and/or neurite regeneration, and in the treatment of diseases and conditions that are mediated by RAR? (e.g., RAR?2), that are ameliorated by the activation of RAR? (e.g., RAR?2), etc., including, e.g., neurological injuries such as spinal cord injuries.

  • Patent number: 10590574
Abstract: A protective textile sleeve and method of construction thereof is provided. The sleeve has a flexible, tubular wall of braided yarns. At least some of the yarns are provided as a plurality of monofilaments and at least some of the yarns are provided as a plurality of multifilaments. The plurality of multifilaments are braided in a plurality of separate bundles. Each of the bundles includes at least two multifilaments. The monofilaments are embedded into the multifilaments during the braiding process to lock the multifilaments in an “as braided” location to prevent shifting of the multifilaments during application and during use, thereby enhancing the abrasion resistance of the sleeve wall.
