  • Publication number: 20250085059
Abstract: A heat exchanger system, in particular a vacuum spray boiler, cools a hot fluid by spraying a coolant onto chambers carrying the hot fluid. This process may be performed in i) a vacuum, as in space, ii) atmospheric pressure, as on a launch pad of a space vehicle, or iii) any pressure therebetween. The heat exchanger system may incorporate a plate-fin heat exchanger. A coolant spray apparatus, used for spraying the coolant, and the heat exchanger are integrated within a vacuum chamber. The coolant, subsequent to changing to a vapor state after being sprayed onto the heat exchanger, may be exhausted to outside the system.

  • Publication number: 20230191067
Abstract: Systems and methods for collecting breathing gas properties via a medical ventilatory filter and wirelessly transmitting the data to another device. For example, the filter includes a first housing enclosing filtration media for filtering breathing gases flowing through the filter, the first housing defining a first port and a second port exposed to the breathing gases; and a sensor assembly. The sensor assembly includes a first sensor coupled to the first port, the first sensor configured to capture measurement data for a first gas property of breathing gases flowing through the filter; a second sensor coupled to the second port, the second sensor configured to capture measurement data for a first gas property of the breathing gases flowing through the filter; and a second housing. The second housing includes a processor and communication circuitry operative to wirelessly communicate the sensor data to a computing device located remotely from the filter.

  • Publication number: 20190031003
Abstract: A forward tilting removable canopy top for a three-wheeled vehicle and or autocycle that are open to the elements. The canopy comprises a ridged structure covered by fabrics of various types or by ridged hard material. The removable canopy top is supported by two detachable front A-arm mounting brackets and one rear support bracket. Rear support bracket encompasses a securing latch when released allows the canopy to tilt forward via quick release pivot points for rotation about a first, fixed axis located on each front A-arm mounting bracket. Canopy top can be removed at fixed location points atop same afore mentioned A-arm mounting brackets via quick release bolts and or knob. Forward tilting of the canopy top around fixed A-arm mounting points allows easy entry and exit for vehicle occupants while providing protections from the elements. Canopy top is designed to be stored off vehicle when not in use.

  • Patent number: 6637069
Abstract: A blower having a fan mounted perpendicularly relative to an airflow discharge port. The fan is disposed within a volute formed in the housing at a rear area of the housing. This places the volute slightly behind the user's leg or hip when the blower is suspended or being held by a user along one side of the user's body. This significantly increases the ergonomics, efficiency and comfort of the blower by allowing the blower to rest more comfortably along the user's side without interference from the volute portion of the housing. This also allows the motor to be located directly underneath the handle of the housing to provide a better balance and feel to the housing when the user is holding onto the blower via the handle.
