The first and second printing fluids are conducted from their respective intermediate tanks to the print head, and there is no return of the printing fluids from the intermediate tanks to the respective reservoirs.

A predetermined volume of fluid is defined between the sealing member, the piercing member, sides of at least one chamber defined by the sample preparation reservoir, and the seal when the sealing member engages the sides of the at least one chamber. The piercing member disrupts the at least one seal to dispense the predetermined volume of fluid to the at least one diagnostic test reservoir. The sealing member is configured to directly contact the sides of the at least one chamber as the seal is disrupted.

The recirculation circuit can include a humidifier to beat and humidify the insufflation gases.

Protein tyrosine phosphatases, which remove phosphate groups from tyrosine phosphorylated signaling molecules, play equally important tyrosine roles as protein kinases in signal transduction. SHP-2, a cytoplasmic SH2 domain containing protein tyrosine phosphatase, is involved in the signaling pathways of a variety of growth factors and cytokines. Recent studies have clearly demonstrated that this phosphatase plays an important role in transducing signal relay from the cell surface to the nucleus, and is a critical intracellular regulator in mediating cell proliferation and differentiation.
