  • Publication number: 20200406170
Abstract: A filter includes an end cap having a top surface, and a circumferential collar extending from the top surface, the circumferential collar having a radial surface that engages radially with one or more fingers that extend from an inner surface of a filter housing cover, a filter base, a filter element positioned between the end cap and the filter base, and a pin extending below the filter base.

  • Publication number: 20200406176
Abstract: A fuel filter assembly includes a filter housing defining a cavity, a center stack having a base component and a top portion. The center stack is positioned within the cavity of the filter housing and attached to the housing, the center stack having an axial aperture in the top portion, the axial aperture having a circumferential surface, and a fuel filter. The fuel filter includes a filter base, an end cap having a top surface and a bottom surface opposite the top surface, an axial extension that extends from the bottom surface, and at least one prong attached to the axial extension, the at least one prong having an axial surface facing away from the top surface that axially locates the fuel filter in the housing against the circumferential surface, a filter element attached to the bottom surface of the end cap, and a pin attached to a filter base.

  • Publication number: 20200406177
Abstract: A fuel filter assembly includes a filter housing that forms a cavity, and a center stack. The center stack is positioned within the cavity and includes an axial aperture in the top portion, the axial aperture having a circumferential surface, and a fuel filter. The fuel filter includes a filter center support. The fuel filter also includes a sword positioned along a surface of the filter center support, an end cap, a filter element attached to an undersurface of the end cap, a water separator at a filter base of the fuel filter, and a pin attached to the water separator. When the fuel filter is positioned within the filter housing, the sword engages with a slot of a center stack of the fuel filter housing and the pin aligns with a channel of the housing.

  • Publication number: 20200408180
Abstract: A fuel filter assembly includes a filter housing, a center stack, a top portion, a center stack base, and a fuel filter. The fuel filter includes a filter center support having a first portion extending along a first axial length, and a second portion extending along a second axial length, the first portion having a first inner diameter that is greater than a second inner diameter of the second portion, and having a first inner contact surface at the first inner diameter, and a filter base having an opening, the opening having an opening diameter and defining a second inner contact surface. When positioned within the filter housing, the fuel filter contacts the center stack at a first axial location and at the first inner contact surface, and it contacts a center stack base of the center stack at a second axial location and at the second inner contact surface.

  • Publication number: 20200276521
Abstract: A ring filter element for a filter device may include a connecting region and an axially projecting pin. The pin may include an arm via which the pin is connected to the connecting region. The arm may include a predetermined breaking point disposed spaced apart from the connecting region.

  • Publication number: 20190282936
Abstract: A filter device may include a filter housing pot and a ring filter element arranged therein. The filter housing pot may have a central drain channel in which an adjustable drain screw having a driver contour is arranged. The ring filter element may include a lower end disk and may interact with the filter housing pot via a counter-driver contour interacting with the driver contour. In a lower position the drain screw may close the drain channel. In an intermediate position the drain screw may free the drain channel and does not interact with the counter-driver contour via the driver contour. In an upper position the drain screw may free the drain channel and interact with the counter-driver contour via the driver contour. The drain screw and the ring filter element may be configured such that a twisting of the drain screw twists the ring filter element.
