  • Patent number: 12146125
Abstract: The invention relates to the use of a composition comprising a C1 to C6 alkanol and a carboxylic acid ester of formula (I) wherein R1 is selected from a C1 to C6 alkyl, which may be unsubstituted or substituted by OH or F, and —X21—[O—X22]n—H; R2 is selected from a C1 to C6 alkyl, which may be unsubstituted or substituted by OH or F, and —X21—[O—X22]n—H; X21, X22 are independently selected from C1 to C6 alkandiyl, which may be unsubstituted or substituted by OH or F; n is an integer from 1 to 5. wherein, the C1 to C6 alkanol and the carboxylic acid ester are selected so as to form an azeotropic mixture and are present in an amount from 20% by weight below to 20% by weight above such azeotropic mixture.

  • Publication number: 20240298664
Abstract: A method for making a coffee beverage with a filter-coffee taste uses a coffee machine that has a brewing unit with a brewing chamber and a plunger which is movable in the brewing chamber and is intended for setting a brewing-chamber volume. The brewing chamber is filled with ground coffee and water is fed into the brewing chamber for the purpose of extraction in the course of a brewing process. During at least one brewing phase, the plunger is arranged so that the volume of the brewing chamber is greater than the volume of the ground coffee in a loosely filled state in the brewing chamber after filling with coffee. The brewing process comprises several brewing phases, in which water with different flow rates is made to pass through the ground coffee. The change between the brewing phases is performed by measuring instruments detecting and/or determining a physical variable.

  • Publication number: 20210177193
Abstract: A method for producing a hot beverage by an apparatus from water and a raw material in a brewing unit includes determining, by a measuring unit, an actual value of a physical material property and/or a physical variable dependent on the physical material property, and optionally a process property of the hot beverage, and comparing, with a control and/or regulating unit, the actual value and a set point value of the physical material property and/or the physical variable and optionally the process property. The control and/or regulating unit uses a data memory in which data records of set point values and/or set point value ranges are stored according to a temperature and/or a desired hot beverage type. If the actual value is outside the set point value range, a control and/or manipulated variable is adjusted by the control and/or regulating unit such that the physical material property of the hot beverage is influenced in a controlled or regulated manner.
