  • Publication number: 20240130694
Abstract: A radiation treatment system includes a radiation delivery system including a rotatable gantry that is coupled to a static portion of the radiation treatment system and a radiation source that directs treatment radiation to a target volume and is mounted on the rotatable gantry for rotation about the target volume. The radiation treatment system further includes a computed tomography (CT) imaging system that generates portions of a CT scan of a region of patient anatomy that includes the target volume, wherein the CT imaging system includes an arcuate array of x-ray detectors, and an array of x-ray sources positioned around the target volume, wherein each x-ray source in the array of x-ray sources is oriented to direct imaging x-rays towards a different portion of the arcuate array of x-ray detectors.

  • Publication number: 20240104740
Abstract: In an imaging method, a first image is generated at a first capture time by an imaging apparatus, the first image representing part of an object to be depicted. A second image is generated at a second capture time after the first capture time, the second image representing the part of the object to be depicted. A further first image is generated based on the first image using a predefined model relating to a development over time of a contrast agent present in the object to be depicted when generating the first image, the further first image taking into account development over time of the contrast agent from the first capture time to the second capture time. A further second image is generated as a function of the second image and further first image, wherein an effect of the contrast agent on the second image is at least partially compensated.

  • Publication number: 20230338749
Abstract: A method for providing an irradiation plan for irradiation of a target volume, comprises: acquiring a time-resolved 3D image dataset, wherein the 3D image dataset is time-resolved over at least one respiratory cycle of the patient, wherein the 3D image dataset is based on a time-resolved scan of an examination region of the patient and on an imaging respiration profile, wherein the examination region includes the target volume, and wherein the imaging respiration profile is based on a first respiration-correlated surrogate variable determined during the time-resolved scan; acquiring a respiration-correlated second surrogate variable of the patient, wherein the second surrogate variable describes a respiration of the patient during the irradiation; determining an irradiation respiration profile based on the second surrogate variable; determining the irradiation plan based on the 3D image dataset and the irradiation respiration profile; and providing the irradiation plan for an irradiation of the target volume.
