  • Publication number: 20220287365
Abstract: Disclosed is a vaporization apparatus including a ceramic core having a characteristic, such as porosity, that enables a vaporization substance to seep through the ceramic core, and a heating element configured to heat the ceramic core and generate vapor by atomizing the vaporization substance that seeps through the ceramic core. According to an embodiment of the disclosure, the characteristic of the ceramic core is designed to be non-uniform, with a view to control, at least to some extent, how the vaporization substance seeps through the ceramic core. In this manner, it may be possible to mitigate leakage of the vaporization substance out of the vaporization apparatus.

  • Publication number: 20220046985
Abstract: An apparatus includes a first chamber to store a first vaporization substance and an atomizer, in fluid communication with the first chamber, to generate vapor from the first vaporization substance by heating the first vaporization substance. Some embodiments include a channel, in fluid communication with the atomizer, a second chamber to store a second vaporization substance, and a feeder, in fluid communication with the channel and the second chamber, to feed the second vaporization substance from the second chamber to the channel. A heater could be provided in fluid communication with the atomizer, to heat the vapor from the atomizer. The vapor that is heated by the heater could vaporize the second vaporization substance.

  • Publication number: 20220030953
Abstract: A vaporization device could contain an amount of vaporization substance that is potentially harmful if ingested. Children may be particularly at risk. Child-resistant covers that releasably engage a chamber of a vaporization device and seal a vaporization substance in the chamber are disclosed. The vaporization device could also include a stem, an atomizer, a base, and a battery compartment. The child-resistant cover could require a user to perform multiple operations to disengage the child-resistant cover from the chamber. These operations could include, for example, one or more of: rotating the child-resistant cover relative to the chamber; pushing at least a portion of the child-resistant cover towards the chamber; compressing a portion of the child-resistant cover; and pulling at least a portion of the child-resistant cover away from the chamber.

  • Publication number: 20210401039
Abstract: A vaporization device includes a mixer to receive and mix vaporization substances to form a vaporization substance mixture, and an atomizer, in fluid communication with the mixer, to vaporize the vaporization substance mixture. The mixer is an active mixer in some embodiments, and could include a stirring element such as a stirring element that is driven by an electric motor, a magnetic stirring element, or an acoustic stirring element. The mixer could also or instead include a passive mixer with multiple mixing elements to mix the vaporization substances and form the vaporization substance mixture.

  • Patent number: 7503370
Abstract: Disclosed is a spring motor and control for use especially with window blinds. The motor comprises a storage drum having a first axis, an output drum mounted for rotation about a second axis parallel to and spaced from the first axis. A spring member is connected to and between the storage drum and the output drum to form a spring motor. The spring motor has laterally extending, spaced apart drum supports on opposite sides of the drums to support them for rotation. A coupled drive is connected to the storage and output drum whereby rotation of one of the drums in a first direction about its axis effects rotation of the other of the drums about its axis and in an opposite direction to cause winding and unwinding of the spring member between the drums.

  • Publication number: 20070033586
Abstract: A method, apparatus and computer instructions are provided for blocking the installation of a patch. A patch management system is used to recognize files with a selected indicator. A selected indicator may be an identifier distinguishing the file such as size, checksum, name, or a current timestamp. The files with a selected indicator contain signatures that may be cross referenced with patch metadata. The signature of the patch file is validated against policies that indicate the patch has been approved for installation. If the patch is approved the files are installed. In response to a patch being unapproved for installation a locking mechanism locks files targeted by patches based on patch metadata, patch content, and/or patch instructions so that the patch may not be installed.
