    Abstract: A method performed by a first communication device for managing beamforming by a second communication device for transmission of a signal. The first and second communication devices operate in a wireless communications network having a zone in which a radio frequency electromagnetic field strength is required by a regulation to be below a threshold. The first communication device adjusts at least one of an output power and a beam shape in the beamforming. The adjusting is such that the radio frequency electromagnetic field strength in the zone for the output power and the beam shape in the beamforming is below the threshold. The first communication device initiates transmission of the signal to a third communication device operating in the wireless communications network using beamforming with the adjusted at least one of the output power and the beam shape.

    Abstract: A new and improved self-oscillating amplifier system is presented, suitable for use in high fidelity audio applications. The self-oscillating amplifier system comprises a feedback path and a forward path including a pulse modulator, a switching power amplification stage and a demodulation filter. The forward path further includes a pair of parallel forward filters preceding the pulse modulators, a differentiating forward filter and an integrating forward filter. The differentiating forward filter is utilized for controlling a switching frequency of the system while the integrating forward filter is utilized for controlling the behavior of the amplifier system within an operating frequency band (e.g. audio band). The self-oscillating amplifier system exhibits improved performance in terms of open loop gain, reduced phase turn and improved robustness as compared to other previously known self-oscillating amplifier systems.

Each radio chain comprises an oscillator, a splitter and a multiplexer, each oscillator being arranged to feed a signal with a unique frequency band to the splitter in the same radio chain. The splitter is arranged to divide the signal into at least two signal parts and feed each part to the multiplexer of each radio chain such that each multiplexer in the node receives signal parts from each splitter in the node. The splitter is arranged to weight the division of the signal into the signal parts in dependence of the frequency bands fed by each oscillator.

For example, a translation selection decision can be made based on the requested content (e.g., active HTML) or user input. Selection is made between the original representation of a web page and a translated one, i.e., a representation that is adapted to one or more characteristics of the receiving device, such as a smaller screen, lower screen resolution, low communication bandwidth, etc. The decision on whether to translate is preferably made by a proxy server in the network, and the decision is based on one or more of the following criteria: requested-page content, user preferences, and statistics. An advantage of interposing a proxy server in this arrangement is that all web servers can remain unchanged.

Exploiting this, teachings herein evaluate light reflected from, or transmitted through, the viewing surface, and compose the digital image from one or more logical objects that have a spatial arrangement or coloration determined in dependence on that evaluation. The teachings might, for example, place a logical object within the image so that it will be displayed on a region of the surface which has high contrast with the object's colors and/or low color variance.

    Abstract: Embodiments include a method in a server for facilitating anonymous communication between a first web browser on a first communication device and a second web browser on a second communication device. The method includes dynamically establishing a signalling channel on the server for the first web browser responsive to the first web browser browsing to the server. The method further includes creating a unique identifier for the signalling channel, temporarily storing the unique identifier at the server, and then sending the unique identifier to the first web browser. The teachings advantageously recognize that the perceptibility of the digital image on the screen will often depend on what is visible to a user through the screen, since that will effectively serve as the background of the screen. A method of preparing a digital image thus includes dynamically calculating which part of an environmental background is visible to a user through the screen and thereby serves as an effective background of the screen. This calculation may entail obtaining an image of the environmental background and identifying which part of that image serves as the effective background (e.g., based on the angle at which the user views the screen). The method further includes composing the digital image for perceptibility as viewed against that effective background and outputting the composed image as digital data for display on the screen.
