  • Publication number: 20250082235
Abstract: An apparatus includes a housing, a fluid reservoir, a flow control mechanism, and an actuator. The housing defines an inner volume and has an inlet port that can be fluidically coupled to a patient and an outlet port. The fluid reservoir is disposed in the inner volume to receive and isolate a first volume of a bodily-fluid. The flow control mechanism is rotatable in the housing from a first configuration, in which a first lumen places the inlet port is in fluid communication with the fluid reservoir, and a second configuration, in which a second lumen places the inlet port in fluid communication with the outlet port. The actuator is configured to create a negative pressure in the fluid reservoir and is configured to rotate the flow control mechanism from the first configuration to the second configuration after the first volume of bodily-fluid is received in the fluid reservoir.

  • Publication number: 20250088963
Abstract: Systems and methods for device handshaking are described. Embodiments for client device and associated wearable device initiated handshaking are described. In certain embodiments, a device such as wearable camera eyeglasses having both high-speed wireless circuitry and low-power wireless circuitry communicates with a client device. The low-power wireless circuitry is used for signaling and to manage power on handshaking for the high-speed circuitry in order to reduce power consumption. An analysis of a high-speed connection status may be performed by a client device, and used to conserve power at the glasses with signaling from the client device to indicate when the high-speed circuitry of the glasses should be powered on.

  • Publication number: 20250087054
Abstract: The present disclosure concerns automatic distributed on-board controllers (OBCs) for electronic gaming machines (EGMs). In particular, various schemes to host a distributed OBC across multiple peer machines are disclosed herein. Traditionally, a “progressive” controller for a set of EGMs comprises a set of services that runs on dedicated servers/hardware and provides progressive functionality (e.g., tracking and administering various “progressive jackpots”) for a large number of EGMs. One aim of the OBC schemes disclosed herein is to eliminate the need for dedicated servers or additional hardware for smaller scale progressive setups, such as a relatively small area or a moderately-sized bank of connected EGMs (e.g., less than 32 games) on a casino floor.

  • Publication number: 20250086834
Abstract: A system may include a head-mounted device and a storage case for storing and calibrating the head-mounted device. The storage case may include a recess that receives the head-mounted device. The case may include optically detectable features for calibrating cameras in the head-mounted device. For example, the case may include optical charts, physical fiducials, and/or reflective calibration spheres for calibrating inward-facing cameras on the head-mounted device such as gaze tracking image sensors. For calibrating outward-facing cameras on the head-mounted device that have larger focal distances, the case may include a light source and a diffractive optical element to create a light pattern that virtually originates from infinity. The case may include cameras for capturing images of displayed images on the head-mounted device to determine if a waveguide and display in the head-mounted device are misaligned.

  • Patent number: 12239482
Abstract: In one embodiment, an ultrasound imaging system is configured to receive a set of ultrasound images of a target anatomical region. The set of ultrasound images is combined to create a composite tissue frame. The ultrasound imaging system determines whether an interventional instrument is present within the ultrasound images based on a set of trained classification algorithms based on the set of ultrasound images and the composite tissue frame. If an interventional instrument is detected, the ultrasound imaging system further determines whether an additional ultrasound frame should be captured to image the interventional instrument, and the steer angle to be used for the additional ultrasound image. The ultrasound imaging system determines a linear structure corresponding to the interventional instrument, and creates a blended image showing the interventional instrument and the composite tissue frame.
