  • Patent number: 11920814
Abstract: A method of controlling an agricultural facility for housing a plurality of animals includes the step of regulating the environment within the agricultural facility with an automated building operational system. An automated thermal event controller is operationally coupled with the automated building operational system and generates a thermal event signal in response to a thermal event in progress, whereby the automated thermal event controller, upon receipt of the thermal event signal indicating that the thermal event is in progress, activates an alarm state. In the alarm state, the automated thermal event controller: sends an alarm signal to a system administrator; places the automated building operational system in a safety-mode condition for a first predetermined time interval; and places the automated building operational system in a normal-mode operational condition after the first predetermined time interval and if a confirmatory signal is not yet then received from the system administrator.

  • Publication number: 20230406509
Abstract: A passenger seat includes a seat back and a headrest supported on the seat back. The headrest includes a pair of opposing lateral sides, and the headrest may be adjustable relative to the seat back along an axis. A divider assembly having a divider may be attached to the headrest. The divider of the divider assembly is movable with the headrest relative to the seat back, and the divider may be movable relative to the headrest between a stowed position and a deployed position. In the deployed position, the divider extends forward from a first lateral side of the pair of opposing lateral sides of the headrest.

  • Patent number: 10247628
Abstract: A force measurement mechanism comprises two force input members (105, 106), a pair of cantilever springs (101, 102), and a force measuring means (107). One portion of each cantilever spring is held by a first constraint means (103) and one portion of each cantilever spring is held by a second constraint means (104) with each cantilever spring having an unconstrained length between the first and second constraint means that is free to bend. The constraint means (103, 104) hold the cantilever springs (101, 102) in a parallel and spaced apart arrangement. The force input members (105, 106) are attached via the constraint means so that relative movement of the force input members bends the cantilever springs (101, 02), and the force measuring means (107) is arranged to measure force applied between the force input members.

  • Patent number: 8382036
Abstract: Seating arrangements for passenger aircraft or other vehicles are detailed. Some arrangements position seats at offsets from a longitudinal axis of a vehicle cabin in either “V” shapes or herringbone patterns. Other arrangements include seats that are staggered within the cabin. Further arrangements include pairs of seat that are both parallel and offset from the longitudinal axis, but are placed so that feet of the port and starboard passengers point away from the fuselage. All embodiments contemplate providing seats that are convertible to beds, although this conversion is not required.
