Patent number: 7431539Abstract: A clamp pin tool holder for clamping an insert in a tool holder includes a bore for receiving a clamp pin and a bore for receiving a lock screw. The clamp pin includes a cam portion with angled surfaces. The lock screw is rotatably mounted to the bore of the tool holder and includes angled surfaces for engaging the angled surfaces of the clamp pin. When the lock screw is rotated in one direction, one angled surface on the lock screw and one angled surface on the clamp pin engage each other an acts as a conical wedge to cause the clamp pin to move relative to the lock screw. When the lock screw is rotated in the opposite direction, another angled surface on the lock screw engages a different angled surface on the clamp pin in a similar manner to cause the clamp pin to move in an opposite direction.Type: GrantFiled: June 22, 2005Date of Patent: October 7, 2008Assignee: Kennametal Inc.Inventors: Robert A. Patent number: 7059424Abstract: An apparatus for rotating a threaded tightening device includes a guide and an anvil utilized to impact a lug on the threaded tightening device to rotate the tightening device onto or off of a threaded member. The guide has a frame with a support sleeve attached thereto. A reciprocating device is received in and is supported by the support sleeve. The anvil is attached to the reciprocating device. When the reciprocating device is received in and is supported by the support sleeve, actuation of the reciprocating device will cause the anvil to repeatedly impact a lug to rotate the threaded tightening device in the desired direction.Type: GrantFiled: April 5, 2004Date of Patent: June 13, 2006Assignee: Halliuburton Energy Services, Inc.Inventors: Kenneth G. Patent number: 5949327Abstract: The present invention provides an overhead balanced electricity distribution and/or power transmission network (1201), the network including input means (1301) for the input onto the network of a telecommunications signal having a carrier frequency greater than approximately 1 MHz from an unbalanced source and output means (1301) for removing said telecommunications signal from the network, wherein said input means and said output means provide impedance matching between said network and said source. Thus, propagation of HF communication signals over such networks is optimised, and the input and output means ("conditioning units") provide for interconnection between a source e.g. a relatively low impedance unbalanced HF (possibly coaxial) termination and a high impedance balanced OH EDN, and provide efficient unbalanced to balanced impedance transformation and termination.Type: GrantFiled: February 21, 1997Date of Patent: September 7, 1999Assignee: Norweb PLCInventor: Paul A. Patent number: 5505560Abstract: To compensate considerable movements between a floating unit and a seabed structure which are interconnected by a fluid line, the invention proposes to embody this fluid line in an upper catenary and a lower portion. The upper catenary is on the one hand supported by the floating structure and on the other hand by a subsurface buoy. The lower portion is on the one hand supported by the subsurface buoy and on the other hand connected to the seabed structure. This lower portion is provided with buoyancy beads. In this way it is possible that the floating structure may be displaced a considerable distance relative to the seabed structure. In addition, the system can withstand considerable environmental loading. This means that the connection between the seabed structure and floating unit can be maintained even under unfavorable conditions.Type: GrantFiled: October 26, 1993Date of Patent: April 9, 1996Assignee: Offshore Energie Development Corporation (OECD)Inventors: Paul A.
