Abstract: An instant lottery ticket vending machine including a machine housing, a ticket pack holder positioned in the machine housing and including a plurality of ticket pack drawers that are each configured to hold a pack of instant lottery tickets, a ticket receptacle supported by the machine housing, and a ticket burster positioned in the machine housing, wherein the ticket burster movable into a plurality of different ticket receipt positions respectively associated with and in alignment with a different one of the ticket pack drawers, wherein in each ticket receipt position, the ticket burster is configured to receive from the ticket pack drawer associated with that ticket receipt position an instant lottery ticket attached to a next instant lottery ticket, and wherein the ticket burster is configured to separate the instant lottery ticket from the next instant lottery ticket and dispense the instant lottery ticket into the ticket receptacle.

Abstract: The present invention provides a ticket dispensing machine and method for housing one or more independently operable and serviceable ticket burster machines for dispensing perforated tickets of all shapes, sizes and thicknesses. In one embodiment, the present invention includes a housing having a plurality of walls defining an interior section of the housing, at least one drawer mounted within the interior section of the housing, at least one ticket burster machine capable of cooperatively engaging a chamber within the drawer and dispensing tickets through an exit flag arrangement, and a moving wall apparatus secured to the housing at a position near the exit flag arrangement of the ticket burster machine, such that tickets leaving the ticket bursting machine are influenced downward by the moving wall apparatus.

Abstract: A device and method for collecting organic waste is disclosed. The invention comprises a biodegradable bag that hangs inside a rigid container covered by a perforated lid. A filter lines the inside of the lid which rests on the rim of the rigid container. The biodegradable bag is secured onto an annular flange by means of a retaining band. The flange, together with the biodegradable bag, sits on the shoulder on the inside of the rigid container so that the biodegradable bag hangs from the flange leaving a cavity inside the rigid container between the biodegradable bag and the walls of the rigid container. The flange has a handle to pull the biodegradable bag out. The biodegradable bag aids in composting of the organic waste as it is permeable to both air and water and provides the largest possible surface area of any waste container to aerate the organic waste.
