  • Publication number: 20230340745
Abstract: A precast concrete gravity-base foundation is provided that is both floatable and submersible in water, and is suitable for mounting the shaft of an offshore wind turbine. The foundation comprises a bottom slab, four cylinders positioned at each corner, a centrally located cylinder, and a top slab covering each of the corner cylinders and having a central opening that receives the top portion of the centrally located cylinder. The foundation's configuration and positioning of the corner cylinders provide maximum stability, and once the corner cylinders are filled with sand, stone, or the like, the corner cylinders further bolster the overall mass and stability of the foundation. The foundation is produced on land, rolled onto a submersible jack-up barge, and transported to either a predetermined storage location or an installation site.

  • Patent number: 11766215
Abstract: Arousal events can be determined for a user associated with a wearable device, such as a user wearing a wearable computing device including one or more sensors. The one or more sensors may obtain EDA information that may determine a sympathetic nervous system response of the user, which may be responsive to an arousal event or an activation. Detection of events that increase the EDA response may provide information to the user regarding arousal events and provide recommendations to the user to address the arousal events to decrease their response.

  • Patent number: 11762742
Abstract: A process control system includes first type and second type controllers having different hardware architectures coupled together by a redundancy network for providing a controller pool. Primary application modules (AMs) are coupled to the controller platforms by a plant-wide network. The controller platforms are coupled by an input/output (I/O) mesh network to I/O devices to provide an I/O pool coupled to field devices coupled to processing equipment. A translating device translates states and values from one of the primary AMs running on a first type controller to generate a backup AM having an instruction set compatible with the second type controller. A controller application module orchestrator (CAMO) extends synchronization to the second type controller, makes the backup AM available to the second type controller, and then switches to utilize the second type controller as an active controller running the process.

  • Publication number: 20230080002
Abstract: Disclosed herein are system, method, and computer program product embodiments for detecting potentially unsafe wear levels in vehicle suspension systems. An embodiment operates by receiving acoustic signals of a vehicle suspension system, processing, the acoustic signals to generate training data, training a predictive learning algorithm to generate a predictive wear model and classifying the processed acoustic signals to indicate wear levels of one or more components of the vehicle suspension system. The trained predictive wear model subsequently predicts wear levels of the vehicle suspension system for notification to a cloud-based repository. Fleets of driverless vehicles may continuously monitor wear levels for timely maintenance before failure occurs.
