  • Publication number: 20240078073
Abstract: Systems and methods for identifying the most impactful moments or segments of music, which are those most likely to elicit a chills effect in a human listener. A digital music signal is processed using two or more objective processing metrics that measure acoustic features known to be able to elicit the chills effect. Individual detection events are identified in the output of each metric based on the output being above or below thresholds relative to the overall output. A combination algorithm aggregates concurrent detection events to generate a continuous concurrence data set of the number of concurrent detection events during the music signal, which can be calculated per beat. A phrase detection algorithm can identify impactful segments of the music based on at least one of peaks, peak-proximity, and a moving average of the continuous concurrence data.

  • Patent number: 10479038
Abstract: A juicer cartridge includes a liquid impermeable compartment at least partially surrounding food matter. An information region may be disposed on the liquid impermeable compartment, wherein the information region includes information for controlling at least one pressing parameter for pressing the juicer cartridge, such as a desired pressing speed, force profile, pressing temperature, total pressing stroke, number of pauses, number of press and/or retract cycles, and a distance of a press and/or retract cycle. The juicer cartridge may be used by placing it in the pressing chamber of a juicer that reads information from the information region and presses the juicer cartridge using the information.

  • Publication number: 20190080128
Abstract: A distributed system uniquely tracks individual consumable items within a stream of commerce and tracks ingredients used in consumable items. The distributed system further provided tracks the sale of the consumable items to the consumer. A point-of-consumption system (e.g., juicer) is used to allow consumer access to the consumable item and the distributed system controls the point-of-consumption system to control access to the consumable item, including blocking use or providing an alert when a consumable item should not be consumed due to recall, expiry, allergy, or other reason.

  • Patent number: 10046904
Abstract: Embodiments related to juicing methods and apparatuses for extracting juice from food matter using juicer cartridges are described. In one embodiment, a juicer cartridge may include one or more separate internal compartments. Food matter loaded into the juicer cartridge may be compressed by a corresponding juicer and expelled through an outlet that may be sealed until activation. Food matter may be pre-sized according to various physical characteristics, and the juicer cartridge may be injected with a gas to enhance shelf life and reduce nutrient loss. The juicer may also be provided with “smart” functionality to provide safety features, track usage, and enhance the operator experience.
