  • Publication number: 20090322768
Abstract: Methods and apparatus to efficiently and safely interface with a graphics processing unit (GPU) are described. In one embodiment, procedures for transforming type-checked parameterized mappings into runtime mappings may be used to efficiently and safely (e.g., without introducing errors) interface with a GPU. Other embodiments are also described.

  • Publication number: 20080155935
Abstract: A grid tee and method of making the same comprising an elongated sheet metal strip folded on itself to integrally form a lower double wall flange, a hollow upper reinforcing bulb, and a web extending upwardly between the flange and bulb, the flange generally lying in a horizontal plane, having opposed spaced parallel edges extending longitudinally, and being perpendicular to the web, the web lying in a generally vertical plane, the strip having two longitudinal extending marginal edge zones, said marginal edge zones being generally vertically disposed and fixed at least at longitudinally spaced locations to a central area of the strip that forms a portion of the web and forming a double web layer area, the marginal edge zones of the strip being vertically spaced from one another such that a portion of the central area of the strip that forms a part of the web is a single exclusive layer.

  • Publication number: 20070022690
Abstract: A clip for attaching the end of a grid tee to a wall angle. The clip, in various forms, is arranged to frictionally lock between the hem of the horizontal leg of the wall angle and the vertical leg. The clip, typically, has a pair of opposed open hems forming channels in which the flange of the tee end is received to join the tee to the clip. The clip can be elongated horizontally to accommodate movement of the grid during seismic activity. The clip can be used to trim the edges of a ceiling island and can be made to accommodate angular intersections of the grid with a wall or island edge.

  • Patent number: 7159212
Abstract: Art asset rendering systems and methods in which pre-processing is performed in a compilation process. Geometric data are processed in the compilation process with knowledge of associated shading programs. The data are converted into data structures targeted directly to a target hardware platform, and a code stream is assembled that describes the manipulations required to render these data structures. The compiler includes a front end configured to read the geometric data and attributes (an art asset) output from a 3D modeling package and shaders in a platform independent form and perform platform-independent optimizations, and a back end configured to perform platform-specific optimizations and generate platform-targeted data structures and code streams.

  • Publication number: 20060260246
Abstract: A main tee with separate clips affixed on its ends for splicing the tee with identical tees in end-to-end butt joints. The tee and clip form a pocket for receiving the projecting end of an opposing clip with a uniform low insertion force. The clip is self-aligning with the pocket and when interconnected the clips precisely align the coupled tees both vertically and horizontally. The clips, formed of relatively strong material, have mutually engageable locking surfaces that ensure a strong joint.

  • Patent number: 4292791
Abstract: A cutting and mulching blade assembly for a rotary lawn mower characterized by being adapted for fine mulching of even long grass and blowing of the grass cuttings away from the internal surface of the shroud housing of the mower back on the lawn among the remaining grass, such as to obviate the need for raking. The self-cleaning feature also allows making the shroud housing without lateral outlets for more safety. This cutting and mulching blade assembly comprises a mulching blade made of essentially the same blank as a conventional lawn mower blade and operatively secured to such cutting blade by a hub member for bodily rotation together and with the mulching blade formed to blow the grass cuttings inward and downward back on the lawn.
